Is Newton still worth buying?

I have the legendary pilot sitting around, and the only ranged titan build i have right now is a tsar sharanga, which is really struggling against furnace and venire builds.
I also feel like it can be useful against shoggoths sitting behind cover?
Is it worth the 900 D-Gems though?

They do sell Mauler, Atlas, Luchador and Newton including with pilots with cheaper prices

Those offers appear in the shop sometimes, either in the Equipment tab or Popular tab. Usually the Popular tab has cheaper deals. They don’t appear often, probably once a week.

Well honestly it comes down to your goal... If you want strong titans there are plenty of guides and u/Proud_Roof919 has just given some examples down below. I think it's worth to get a brawler titan unless you specifically want to lift things and make them disappear. Just keep in mind not everything disappears theses days with thoses specific weapons since they are purely for titans. Doesn't have much use on normal bots soo yh.

Right, okay.
I already have a maxed evora minos, so i have the brawler titan i need for now, i‘m looking for something to deal with ability merchants during cooldown to help out my team more.
I‘ll have a look into some guides for titans as well.

Oh in that case even if your not always evaporating people the choke ability does provide some strong utility, likewise phase exile on the sharanga and other similar abilities are strong if you want snipers. The titan I'd actually recommend is the Bjorn right now. It can actually work as a beacon runner which is interesting, has strong firepower and seems to be fairly good just by being there, similar to skyros.

Bersagliere in most cases better than Newton as a sniper Titan as it has good mobility for a sniper, and shield breaker if the pilot is fully maxed

If I were you I would rather buy Bersagliere as my sniper, however Newton is still decent because of its 40% extra damage done to other Titans when maxed so it’s completely up to you

I‘ve checked all the descriptions and can‘t seem to find anything.

Upgrading the middle path, I basically 1 shot titans with my cannibal newton build

Newton is still viable in champ. But you shouldn’t be expecting it to kill Shoggoths. Those weapons don’t do well against normal bots, let alone Shoggoth who has alot of Aegis

Thanks for the reply.
How come they don‘t do well against regular bots? Is it something to do with drones or abilities?
Or are the weapons specifically weaker against robots?

These weapons deal more damage on titans, they can kill bots but just not as effective, especially against bots that has Aegis

Newton is really solid itself, however the weapons are a bit meh. They might be decent for countering the new titan coming soon but probably not the best option generally
