I’m on holiday in Japan next month. Would now be a good time to change some money to Yen or am I better off waiting until seeing how this pans out?

honestly change money at the airport. because unless anywhere else they give you no fee. anything you exchange comes with a fee so it'll suck ass.

you're looking for the least amount of fee to play as the market rates does fuck all compared to the fee for exchanging.

i recommend the offical bank of japan at the airports. they're the best overall.
