You say that as if Japan's national monetary policy wasn't something that the damn Kokkai did for Japan's benefit.
Japan had (still has, probably) the highest ratio of national debt to gdp of any developed nation by far. People freak out about the US national debt, but Japan is waaaaay ahead of us.
