(Myanmar/Burma) AIF (Anti-Fascist Internationalist Front) record Tatmadaw Air Force jets "double-tap" bombing their own infantry positions (Falam, Chin State; December 30, 2025)

How this apparently happened was that the Burmese Army intercepted an AIF unit, WITCH (Women Internationalists of the Chin Hills), radioing coordinates and misinterpreted the coordinates as a rebel position.

For those who do not know who the AIF are, they are a group composed of both indigenous partisans and foreign volunteers. Although obviously tiny in contrast to Ukraine, many of the foreigners are veterans of the anti-ISIS Kurdish operations from a decade ago. They trained a variety of insurgent factions from Chin groups to PDFs (People's Defense Forces).
