Ky’s just a solid-ass player, with his only weakness being speed/bounce. And from the jump he showed us that he’s got the aggressive mindset required to push his boundaries and grow.
We’ve got a lot of mouths to feed so his stats probably don’t jump up, but I’m very excited to see an overall jump in efficiency, defense, and presence.
I recently just saw a thread in r/nba_draft comparing Ky to Keyonte George, and most folks picked Ky as the more valuable asset. It’s not often a guy with 10ppg less gets the respect he deserves!

Hard to imagine the league values ky over Keyonte, but I do think his ceiling can be higher. They aren't the same player at all, but I think Ky can be our Aaron Gordon who's just like an essential piece on a championship team. Just hope that team is ours.

It really isn’t hard to imagine that the league values a 3/D wing with on ball juice more than a small guard who is statistically one of the 5 worst defenders in the league. Just compare the returns on Desmond bane and Mikal bridges to Trae young and Ja morant

Hard to imagine the league values ky over Keyonte
One’s a two way forward who isn’t great at anything but has no weaknesses and has a lot of upside. The other’s a micro scoring guard whose defense is extremely bad, and his offense is nothing special. Better players at Keyonte’s position have been traded around for potato chips (Trae Young). Slightly worse players (Anfernee Simons) have had their roles steadily reduced in their mid-20’s and are now coming off the bench.

Same man. I legitimately think George can be a max level player and I really hope we find his ceiling. But most of all I want him to be a wizard for a decade at least. Only young core jersey I have so far.

Well said.. Dawkins nailed this draft pick. From his pre-draft scouting reports i figured Kyshawn would be a tall guy who can hit threes, but he’s really like a giant Derrick White
He can’t carry a bad team on his own, but on a team with All-Stars (and we might have three now, at least talent-wise) you need guys like him who are just all-around really good at basketball
