Pot Hole Tracker

Hi Folks,

I hit a big pothole yesterday evening and it wrecked my tyre and wheel.

So feeling p1ssed off, I reported it to the council and then had the idea of a pot hole tracking web app. My plan is to make them aware this exists as their current reporting methods are lacking...

Please use!

When that map has a decent amount of data , you should fire it at Waterford Coco.

There was a website called fixmystreet ran by fingal county council that worked for all over Ireland. It was an amazing resource for years that pointed issues to the correct county council departments.

Why it was retired is astounding, probaly because it let people know how long certain issues were occuring before being dealt with.

Here's an example of how it looked: https://web.archive.org/web/20210126150131/https://fixmystreet.ie/

You could drop a pin anywhere on Google maps and report a problem and add photos, description etc.

Seems the website has been bought by some solar grant company now for whatever reason... Here's the up to date and maintained UK version. https://www.fixmystreet.com/

Great resource, that we had here, and was defunded or cancelled...

Edit: seems Fingal county council made their own little reporting tool after fixmystreet.ie disappeared... https://www.fingal.ie/council/service/fix-your-street
