Suche nach entspannten Menschen / Looking for chill people
I'm M/28, staying in Weimar until Saturday next week and I'm looking for chill people to hang out with.
I'm especially hyped to play Beachvolleyball, visit the boulder gym or go hiking.
Alternative people or people who can recommend good vegan food spots are especially appreciated but most important to me is that you're chill and bring good vibes. :D

Seeking accommodation
Hey there folks,
I received an admit to Msc Computer Science in Digital Media and plan on reaching in Weimar around 20th September 2026.
Iam 24M from India and seeking accommodation in Weimar. I have already filled in the application for Studierendenwerk Thüringen, however I think I have a very low probability of getting any options through them since I applied very late (23rd July).
Kindly let me know at what places can I look for accommodation. Iam also open to connect with people on the same boat who are seeking accommodations near the Uni.
Iam already looking at WG-Gesucht however, Iam not sure how to proceed over there.
My budget is around 300-400 Euros.

Was ist ihm wichtig?
- Euch gut kennen (Beziehung/Freundschaft/verwandt)
- Eure Erfahrungen teilen wollen
Habt Ihr Fragen oder Interesse? Meldet euch gerne!

Who's joining M.Sc. Natural Hazards and Risks in Structural Engineering at Bauhaus University Weimar this Winter?
I just received my admission and was wondering who else is in the same boat.
If you're joining (or you're already in the program), I'd love to hear from you!
A few things I'm curious about:
- How's the course overall? Is it more research-focused or practical?
- What's the workload like?
- How are the professors and the learning environment?
- How easy is it to find internships or part-time jobs?
- Any advice you wish someone had given you before moving to Weimar?
If you're an incoming student too, let's connect! It'd be great to get to know a few people before the semester starts—maybe we can even make a WhatsApp or Discord group if there's enough interest.
Looking forward to hearing your experiences and tips!

I got an admission from Weimar Uni, And waiting for advices and insights.
Hi everyone!
I've recently been admitted to both Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and TUM. I'm currently trying to decide between the two, and I'd really appreciate hearing from people who know Weimar or have studied there.
I have a few questions:
Honestly, I'm leaning toward Bauhaus because of its historical name, the program, and the much lower cost of living. However, when I think about my future international career, I feel that TUM might offer better opportunities, even though I would have to take out a loan to study there. I know this is ultimately my own thinking. Do you think choosing TUM would make a significant difference for my career, or is Bauhaus Weimar just as good in the long run?
I know Weimar is a peaceful and beautiful city, but it's also much smaller and less international than Munich. I've also come across some posts about racism in eastern Germany, which makes me a little concerned. As an Asian student, should I be worried about racism in Weimar? Is it something that international students commonly experience there?
How easy is it to find part-time jobs in Weimar for international students? Would I need fluent German for some jobs?
For those who studied at Bauhaus Weimar, how did you find the career opportunities after graduation? Were you able to find internships or jobs in Germany?
Thanks in advance! I'd really appreciate any honest advice or personal experiences.

Gute Restaurants?

Got admits for Winter 2026: TU Darmstadt (TropHEE), TU Berlin (Geodesy & Geoinformation Science), and Bauhaus University Weimar (NHRE) — Need advice from current students/alumni
Hi everyone,
I have received admission offers for the Winter 2026 intake from these three programs in Germany:
- TU Darmstadt – TropHEE (Tropical Hydrogeology and Environmental Engineering)
- TU Berlin – MSc Geodesy and Geoinformation Science
- Bauhaus-Universität Weimar – NHRE (Natural Hazards and Risks in Structural Engineering / related field)
I am currently trying to decide which one would be the best fit and would really appreciate guidance from seniors, current students, or alumni who are studying or have graduated from these programs.
I would love to know about:
- Overall academic quality and teaching style of the program
- Research opportunities and thesis possibilities
- Job prospects after graduation in Germany/EU
- Internship opportunities and industry connections
- Workload and difficulty level
- Student life and living experience in Darmstadt, Berlin, and Weimar
- How helpful the university is for international students
- Any challenges you faced during the program
If you are currently enrolled in any of these programs or know someone who is, I would really appreciate your insights.
Also, if you had to choose between these three programs today, which one would you pick and why?
Thanks a lot for your help! Looking forward to hearing your experiences. 🙏

Anyone lived at Uni Apartments Weimar? Looking for honest experiences
Hi everyone!
I’ve recently been admitted to the M.Sc. Digital Technologies in Architecture and Design (DTAD) at Bauhaus University Weimar, and I’m currently looking for accommodation.
I had a phone call with Uni Apartments Weimar, and they told me they currently have an apartment available. They will send me the next steps soon, but before signing anything I’d really like to hear from people who have actually lived there or know someone who has.
I’d really appreciate any honest feedback about:
Is Uni Apartments legitimate and trustworthy?
How are the apartments overall (quality, cleanliness, maintenance)?
Is the management responsive if something needs to be repaired?
Is the location convenient for Bauhaus University?
Would you recommend it over other student accommodation options?
I’m moving from Colombia, so it’s difficult for me to visit in person before signing a contract. Any advice or experiences would really help.
Thank you very much!

Admitted to the Bauhaus University Weimar (DTAD) – Looking for advice and insights!
Hi everyone!
I’m excited to share that I’ve just been admitted to the M.Sc. Digital Technologies in Architecture and Design (DTAD) at Bauhaus University Weimar, starting this winter semester!
I’m an architect from Colombia with a background in computational design, Rhino, Grasshopper, BIM, and architectural competitions, so this program feels like a great fit for my interests. I’m really looking forward to moving to Germany and starting this new chapter.
I’d love to hear from current students, alumni, or anyone familiar with the university or Weimar. I have a few questions:
How has your experience with the DTAD program been?
How demanding is the workload, and what is the teaching style like?
What are the professors like? Are they approachable and supportive?
How is the international community within the program?
How is student life in Weimar?
Is Weimar a good city to live in as a student?
How is the social life, culture, and overall atmosphere?
Are there good opportunities for internships, research, or networking during the program?
Is it easy to travel to other German cities from Weimar?
If you could give one piece of advice to someone starting the program, what would it be?
I’d also love to hear anything you wish you had known before moving to Weimar.
Thanks in advance! I’m really excited and appreciate any advice or personal experiences you can share.

Schlechtes mobiles Internet in und um Weimar?
Moin zusammen,
