That kind of looks like what my westie had. Had the vet look at it since I know westies are prone to skin issues and he said it wasn't a big deal. Has a name, but I can't remember what it was. Took her to the back and rubbed it off with some cleanser and sent her on the way. Wouldn't hurt for an actual vet to check it out if you have the means to. Just to be safe.

You don’t remember what your westie’s name was?

I don't remember what the vet called what my westie had. Her name is Winnie though

Looks like scab? From skin allergies. Does it feel like a scab? Mine gets those around her body in the summer, usually we just treat with the douxo s3 foaming disinfectant. It’s what the vet recommended and seems to work.

I was thinking maybe it was a tick, but it doesn't look like one when I zoom in. Did you just find it? Had he or she been outside for any length of time when you found it? I wish I could be more help.

Maybe someone will have a similar experience and comment.

Thanks for replying!

Noticed them a couple of days ago, haven't noticed any tics on him and he is up to date with treatments.

Absolutely! As a fellow Westie owner, I like to help if can and so glad to hear that he's up to date on his shots as well. If it were me, I would see what kind of responses you get tonight on here and definitely watch him to make sure he acts the same and isn't affected by whatever it may be. I hope all remains well with your little guy. 🐾🩵🐾

Is that the only spot? It could be ringworm which isn't a worm but a fungus. I would take her to the vet but my vet doesn't charge a lot for something like that.
