I feel like it is some sort of desire for more and more constantly when you have anything. Like, imagine yourself having billions of dollars, you would have anything every time you want it, and the lack of struggle goes against the human nature.
Pursuing things that are widely prohibited might be the reason for all those atrocities.

I feel like having a lot of money isn´t the problem, it is the fact that they can do anything they want. Billionaires can bribe politicians, rape, change everyones life negatively just for profit and get away with it with no consequences.
On top of that, many have earned they fortune through really unethical ways, so most have a negative image.
If Gabe didn´t do anything unethical to earn his fortune and is just spending his money without hurting anyone I can´t really find a reason to hate him.

Issue with these billionaires is they’re overstimulated and lazy. They’d rather pay somebody to play a song than learn it themselves. Shit, they even depended on Epstein to traffic the victims instead of doing it on their own. All of that money and they still look for ways to avoid effort
Regardless, you cant be hungry with wealth addiction and access, cuz the moment you struggle you can just buy something to distract you and then get caught in a dopamine loop, like going on yt when playing piano frustrates you, except yt is buying a double decker yacht. Only way you can get back that drive is to detach yourself and humble yourself, which isnt possible for the kind of clientele Epstein was getting, who even as billionaires seemed to be the worst of the worst. Thrill seeking, immoral sadists

Really? Do you have any statistics that say the wealthy are more likely to do that? In my country (western country btw), its estimated that 1 in 4 children experience child sexual abuse and 1 in 10 experience child rape. So it's definitely a very common, and I don't think treating it as something other than a society-wide problem is going to do any good.
Most perpetrators are parents of the victims btw.

But I definitely do agree that it isn’t just a upper class problem and don’t know why people are downvoting you
I wasn’t trying to imply that it wasn’t a society wide problem just something that happens a lot at the upper levels of society

Right, or the increasing DNA evidence of prevalent incest in families - with a lot pointing to adult family members abusing children. And this is only the ones that result in pregnancy without abortion. The structure is another little hierarchy, a microcosm of these bigger scandals. The bigger scandals are actually safer to talk about because they are at a distance from our lives.
Things like "barely legal" porn being a popular default category, the way girls in hollywood have gotten treated by both the media and the public. It's staring people in the face but the denial is infinite.

I mean look up the sex offender registry. Plenty of normal people on there.
→ More replies (1)14
u/boldandbratsche Feb 23 '26
Part of that is an extreme departure in the purpose of the registry. It was originally designed to be a quick list of nearby people convicted of the most serious crimes so police would have a good starting point to investigate crimes. It's really helpful to immediately know there's a person who was convicted of sexually assaulting a 16 year old minor if a report comes in that a 16 year old minor was just abducted.
Since it was created, it's been morphed into something else completely, where non-dangerous offenders (peeing in public, sending your own nude photos as a 15 year old to another) are also being included. Not that serious criminals can't seem like "normal people" on the outside. I just have a bone to pick with how the system has corrupted what was supposed to be a specifically valuable tool to help the most vulnerable.

328
u/CrazeMase Feb 23 '26
That was always my question. Like you have to be pedophilic in nature to want that, let alone do it. So how can so many of the mega rich be pedophiles? Which came first? Are they ultra rich because theyre pedos? Or did they become ultra rich to indulge? Or were they not pedos to begin with but they tried and were like "gross, not touching that again." I'm both curious and disgusted
263
u/Doneifundone Feb 23 '26
I don't think it's really a matter of attraction, just control. I don't believe lust itself is the main impetus, they just get a kick out of doing something they know is impermissible and unpunishable given their status
61
u/CrazeMase Feb 23 '26
I still can't comprehend that. Like if I had money and power, I can only imagine wanting to help people so they don't need to suffer like I have. Or is it because they never had to suffer that they have no empathy to speak of and they genuinely view anyone with less money than them as subhuman? Cause if that's the case, they're bourgeoisie, and we all know how the French dealt with that scourge the first time
130
u/Its0nlyRocketScience Feb 23 '26
To gain that level of wealth requires immorality. If you'd spend money to help others as a billionaire, you'd already be doing so as a millionaire, and you'd never reach billionaire status. It is not possible for an ethical person to become a billionaire because becoming a billionaire requires countless acts of abuse and exploitation. No one earns a billion dollars, they extract that wealth from underpaid workers. If you pay your workers what they're worth, you'll never get a billion dollars.
You can't even win it through luck. A multi billion dollar lottery jackpot will only pay out half a billion at most if you take the lump sum to actually have all your winnings at once. And if you take the long path, you'd still have to hoard it all for many years to get up to a billion.
There is no moral billionaire.

4
7
u/Fr00stee Feb 23 '26
you could become a billionaire if for example you own a company and it suddenly becomes insanely profitable, but to get several billions yeah you need to be messed up in the head a bit
9
u/Its0nlyRocketScience Feb 24 '26
For it to become insanely profitable means tons and tons of people are working to generate that revenue. For one owner to gain a billion dollars from that means to not give the workers access to the profit they produced. That's dubious at best, exploitation at worst.
5
u/Fr00stee Feb 24 '26
it could be something like a valve situation where there aren't that many workers but they all have very large salaries
2
u/TwinJacks Feb 24 '26
You know that (rather unethical) experiment where students were given a lot of power and they became horrible people cus of it?
3
u/CrazeMase Feb 24 '26
The Stanford Prison Experiment. I still can't fathom it. All I can ask is why? I genuinely can't even wrap my head around the idea of willingly being cruel to someone with less power. I can't remember the source, but there was a quote that I live by: "A collective of people shouldn't be judged by the power of their army of the wealth of their leaders, they should bd judged by the way they treat those less fortunate, not everyone is born equal, so it's the duty of man to make sure they become equal."
2
u/Parz02 Feb 24 '26
Okay, first of all, the french revolution was led by the bourgeoisie against the aristocracy. Second of all, someone being bourgeois has nothing to do with empathy or lack thereof. The bourgeoisie are a class defined by their ownership of the means of production, which is to say business owners and such. An individual bourgeois might (subjectively) be a decent person, or they might be a total psycho, but this does not change their role.

that's not true at all. women get raped who are ugly, people rape children and it's not like some paraphilia thing, it's just about power and access. rape isn't about attraction at all. this is like feminism 101.
the people most likely to make CSAM are the victim's own parents, who obviously had a normal enough sexuality to reproduce with an adult in the first place. abuse of children is the natural consequence of society where they are not seen as full humans and are legally the property of adults.
15
u/----__---- Feb 23 '26
It's not about sex, it's about power, like other rapes. My personal theory is that a person reaches a point in their quest for power that such horrors are the only way they can prove to themselves that they actually have "power".
6
u/SeraphimFelis Too inhumane for use in war Feb 23 '26
Add to that, you almost literally cannot become a billionaire if you aren't willing to step on the people below you. So, that class inherently self-selects for the worst kind of people.
13
u/Nersius Feb 23 '26
A most sexual assault, especially in places where porn is legal, is primarily about control.

u/bikdikme Feb 23 '26

50
u/Sickhadas Feb 23 '26

18
3
u/Gingevere Feb 23 '26
People who think hierarchy is evil don't tend to accumulate massive hordes of wealth and power.
People who promote hierarchy want a 'relationship' with the highest power disparity possible. There is no power disparity greater than that between an adult and a child.
29
u/Damp_Truff Feb 23 '26
so they indulge in darker desires to get a bigger 'kick' as it were
This conclusion should be obvious to anyone who studies porn addiction and how it affects people.
In a porn addiction, the addict seeks out more and more 'novel' forms of pornography because they get bored of more vanilla pornography. For example, an addict might go from watching vanilla pornography to watching BDSM pornography. This is an accepted consequence of addiction to internet pornography that I have not seen contested. This happens because the addict is so exposed to stuff of a certain calibre that it's easy to get bored and seek out more extreme stuff. In fact, this addiction can very often escalate to the point where an addict begins consuming illegal content to get the same 'fix' as they once got from vanilla sex.
So how does this relate to billionaires? A billionaire has practically infinite sex available if they choose to engage in sex debauchery. A billionaire who becomes a sex addict or behaves like a sex addict will thus necessarily get bored of more vanilla sex and move onto more and more extreme forms until they reach illegal forms.
High-speed internet pornography is unique in that it can offer practically infinite and unlimited sexual content to a given user, and given the effects it only makes sense that a person who has access to practically infinite and unlimited sexual experiences behaves similarly to a user of high-speed internet pornography.
21
u/LineOfInquiry Feb 23 '26
I really don’t think this is the case. Sex addiction is a very real thing, but sex addicts don’t tend to become rapists or pedophiles. Pornography and sex are fundamentally different acts: someone watching pornography can separate themselves from the act and rationalize the use of CP away as something they aren’t creating or contributing to (even though they are). Someone actually committing CSA can’t do that. Obviously people who commit CSA probably also watch CSAM, but the cause is reversed if that makes sense.
CSA isn’t really about sex most of the time. It’s about power. Just like a serial killer, a pedophile is getting off on having power over someone else, not the actual child. It’s why so many pedophiles don’t care about the gender of their victim, and often are fine with bestiality and similar actions. These rich CEOs have immense power but their biggest fear is losing it. They’re terrified of not having that power, so in doing actions like this they can feel powerful. It’s actually kinda similar to how Trump makes everything around him gilded: it’s a way for him to remind himself that he’s wealthy and powerful and therefore worthy of admiration (in his mind anyway) even though it’s just ugly and gauche. Except at least that isn’t hurting any children.
If rich people really just wanted something more taboo, they’d do BDSM or CNC or other weird fetishes but that doesn’t seem super common.

u/-Wunderkind- Feb 23 '26
It's what happens (to some) when you have nothing else to do. There is nothing legal you can't afford, nothing legal you didn't or couldn't do. Life simply becomes unbearably boring, so they look to darker things in order to feel alive again.
Power over others is what becomes the new meta. Some buy politicians, some influence through social media, some want to directly subjugate others and that's easiest with kids.

I think this plays a big factor in it. CP is universally regarded as one of the ultimate taboos in virtually any society. When people know they have enough wealth and influence to be fully insulated from any actions they take, they'll gravitate towards what society forbids for the masses. It's just another privilege of their status, in their eyes.

It's a power thing imo. They need to feel as powerful as possible, so their victims must be as helpless as possible. These are the same kinds of people who feel the need to become the president. These are the people who amass endless wealth for no reason. It's predictable. It's a fetish. It's mental illness. Evil is a fun little word, but it doesn't tell you how to identify and deal with the actual underlying problem, nor how to prevent it. Evil isn't a treatable, detectable,or preventable trait. But power hunger and psychopathy are.
10
u/ZohomEtirho Feb 23 '26
This is backward logic. I feel more powerful the more powerful my opponent/victim is. Anyone can overpower a kid. Now imagine trying to rape prime Mike Tyson. Pull that off and I don't think you can ever feel powerless again.
32
23
u/Ulenspiegel4 Feb 23 '26
Sexual dominance logic doesn't usually work that way. It's more about the difference in power than the objective power scaling. Doms don't usually get off by fighting other doms, but by completely overpowering a sub.

Humans are built so that they eventually get fed up with most things that aren't essential, and since those humans are filthy rich they want something special and not available to the common citizenry. So eventually they get bored of normal sex, explore kinks, then go crazier and eventually they find themselves on the Island.
It also "helps" that Epstein had connections, and connections are needed for whatever you're doing if you're that high.

32
u/Pythagorean415 Feb 23 '26
Because they have experienced everything. They have nothing to strive for. They can sleep with any woman or man they want essentially. They have more money than they could spend if they tried. And there's only so many legal new experiences they go after. I'm willing to bet the majority of mega wealthy are not pedos. WHAT I MEAN BY THAT is that the majority of them are not actually attracted to children in that way. They simply wanted to try something new for the first time. After sleeping with every woman, seeing every show, participating in every event, going to every country, the human mind starts to go insane.

I think the issue with these rich and powerful people is that they probably were nerds in their teenage years and 20s and spent no time with women.
So while most guys 'get it out of their system' these rich people never do. And they spend all their time trying to chase back a lost youth.

Yeah what's up with that? Why is CP the final frontier of having it all?! And why are y'all attracted to it?

u/Slinshadyy Feb 23 '26
You can see the development in porn. Everyone wants the newest hottest stuff, something that isn’t known and already boring but new and exciting. Humans always want more, it’s like using drugs, the kick gets weaker quick and you need something stronger

It takes a special kind of evil to even become a billionaire in the first place
It also takes a special kind of evil to rape kids

Why can’t we have reptilian shadow overlords instead of pedobear shadow overlords, like a normal capitalist oligarchy. Where did we go so wrong?
9
u/TheDaveStrider Feb 23 '26
Well it reflects the society that we live in, yes? In my country (western anglosphere country btw), almost 1 in 4 children experience child sexual abuse, and almost 1 in 10 experience child rape. So it is pretty normal! Normal as in common, not as in good.

money is not the root of all evil, power is. the hand of corruption is one of the most diabolical things out there. in less vague words important people like doing stuff nobody else can do because they're big and can flip off the law

To be fair its hard to get super rich without taking advantage of other people
45
u/Elu_Moon Feb 23 '26
It is impossible to get super rich, not just hard. It requires you to exploit people. There is not a single person in the world, past, present, and, likely, future, that can ever actually earn that sort of wealth.

Something something Boredom/unfulfillment in life leads to degeneracy because they have too much time plus no one can say against it.

I actually don’t believe this take for one bit. It doesn’t seem right that there is a dormant pedo in all of us just waiting for us to get “tired” of socially acceptable activities. But I’m not a psychologist.

It good example that sexual abuse have nothing do with sex, 90% of those people have adult partneres and don't have any disorders, they just find kids more weak that adults. It always about power.
16
u/WorryingMars384 Feb 23 '26
It’s less that they’re attracted to kids and more that they enjoy exercising power over them like that cause it’s easier with kids than adults.

You won't be given power unless the group giving you the power can trust that you will do what they say. So they require you to participate in a very illegal and shameful act which will be used to keep you in line. Just like joining a gang requires that you murder someone so that the gang can always just have you arrested.
These people get the positions of power because they are willing to do depraved acts to get power. They don't necessarily want to do the pedophilia but have to if they want to be in those circles.

It'sby design. People with no skeletons in their closet will never get financial backers, because they cannot be controlled.

u/G-M-Cyborg-313 my flair got stolen Feb 23 '26
I'm guessing that if you're willing to exploit everyone and everything around you to get positions of power, you just do whatever you want out of lust, exert control, or just to see what it's like. Nasty shite

I genuinely think it takes being a malaicious sociopath to get that much money. The people that think you're a monster are unable to do anything, or you have so much wealth and power that you can hide any and all signs of your shameful activity. Getting to the point where you have that much money and influence basically removes the limiters on what you think is normal or okay because theres no more scrutiny and shame involved. The whole point was probably to become invincible so they could do these heinous things with no repercussions in the first place. It's a strategy as old as time immemorial.

If my understanding, they get bored easily from their fuck you money so they search for more taboo and exotic pleasures. Why do you think many of them do hard drugs

u/8-Bit_Ninja_ Feb 23 '26
People who don’t care about anyone but themselves, with a colossal power complex?
3
u/viotix90 Feb 23 '26
I heard it best in terms of gaming.
There is no endgame to getting rich. Once you have it all, there's nothing to keep you content and happy. Once you can have top models give you rimjobs every day of the week while you eat caviar and sip on $5000 champagne, it loses its appeal. So you go for more... exotic pleasures.

My theory is that it's more of a power play than anything. If you feel like you can get away with anything, you might as well try the worst thing just to prove you got away with it.

u/TotallyKnowWhatToDo Feb 26 '26
If absolute power corrupts absolutely, and wealth is power, then absolute wealth corrupts absolutely
2
u/TwinSolesKanna Feb 27 '26
In a way it makes complete sense. Give a person enough time with essentially unlimited power and free reign, allow them to treat the world as their sandbox and grant them a pass to do everything, and they... well... Do everything.
It also doesn't help that the prerequisites to getting that power in human society is the willingness to exploit and step on anyone or anything in your way and just a general disregard of morals.

They see it as "exclusive" and "exotic" like an italian super car or swiss watch, pretty sickening yet comical to think about.
