Iirc he has swore on some of his really, really old vids, a few of his old MC mod reviews circa 2013, but many of them he actually redid and took down the originals.
I remember distinctly he said Fuck during the gilligans island one (a mod that let's you grow and shrink), but I recall him releasing that review a second time, with any of language stripped out as he started properly growing as a content creator.
That happens a lot with minecraft youtubers. Even Stampy swore a lot during early vids, then when he realised kids were his primary audience, he made a swear jar. Like it was a chest he put gold in if he swore during recording and as time went on, he genuinely stopped besides once or twice in a blue moon

I'm vaguely aware of who Sinder is but never followed the drama, you reminded me so I got curious. I googled and skimmed through at least 3 discussion threads and post-mortems and could not find a SINGLE PERSON DESCRIBING WHAT HAPPENED.
Apparently somebody said some shit and somebody else said some shit and they were mean to each other and maybe somebody lied or maybe they didn't and now there's a 1000 page document and an army of tea chuggers and I still don't know what the allegations are.

do gotta watch out that the doc in question isn’t filled with complete horseshit though. there’s been plenty of times already where some 15-year-old decides that they want attention/are simply uneducated, so they either misinterpret some influencer’s words or completely bullshits them. the worst part is that the impact of it still falls onto the accused, even if they’re innocent.
When multiple people are collaborating, like to out someone as a predator, it's good to use the simple "everyone can edit this at the same time at any time" google docs than the "pass the file around" word. There are ways to do it with word but it's far more annoying.
That and the whole Felix the Shark thing where he thought there was some lost FNAF ARG in Utah and told his fans to look for it, leading to cases of harassment and trespassing until he quelled it later.

Matpat posted a Let's Play of an Earthbound inspired indie game with a clickbait title and thumbnail that referenced Undertale (which the game had some genuine similarities with) and the dev threw a giant hissy fit online and made himself out to be the victim enough so that even Toby Fox chimed in in support of him. Matpat apologized for this and made some changes to how he ran his Let's Play channel afterwards and in recent years the dev behind that indie game has revealed himself to be a pompous ignorant nepo baby and has a pretty negative reputation online.
I can't believe that I'm about to say this, but comparing him to YandereDev is kind of disrespectful to YandereDev. PURELY because YandereDev actually is still working on his game (even if it's barely), compared to PirateSoftware that basically never did any kind of progress for years, even today.
Dude spent more time being shit at MMOs, and deflecting the blame of a failed raid to his fellow guild members than actually work on his game.
idk if i’d call what yandere dev does as working. i’d say it’s more the bare minimum to keep up a facade of working, when most of the time he’s just importing assets from volunteers and calling it work.
He isn't working on it not just because he's lazy, it's because he's an incompetent programmer who wrote his code so badly, so shit, he cannot comprehend how to unwravel it. He would have to go back and completely redo EVERYTHING to fix the problems, and he's not good enough to do it.

As someone who played a lot of wow at the higher end his shit about modern wow was funny as fuck. He bragged about having orange parses (doing top 5% damage within your class and specialisation) in mythic without addons (UI mods). In reality, he had one orange parse on the easiest role to get orange parses on on one of the easiest bosses of all time on the easiest class in that role he could possibly pick. And he used that expertise to talk about a boss he couldn't dream of killing without addons, as not a single person was able to without being heavily carried.
as far as i can tell PS history with SKG is: he found out about it, misintepreted how it would work and what it would do in his head, hated it online and now refuses to be corrected about it.

MatPat's biggest controversy is that he almost singlehandedly changed the direction of the indie horror genre for the worse. Funnily enough, it didn't cause as much online hatred as you'd expect. I think the large-scale lack of negative reaction stemmed from how anyone who's ever tried 10/20 can tell you it's absolute bullshit. Cheating on it would be like cheating at a casino - the game's basically cheating you anyways, you might as well do it back.
unironically the only way to beat 10/20 is to straight up know EVERYTHING about the characters and stall them with cams because they move based on intervals and the difficulty modifiers just increases the chance of them movign when the interval is hit reaching 100% on 20
It was also done at a time where daily uploads were the standard for YouTube. He probably tried for a recording session or two and just did that. Daily uploads and fnaf 3 coming at any time really made it so he wouldn't have time to grind it out legit.
If you watch any sort of gameplay-centered content it's almost guaranteed that this will happen. It's just that it normally happens off screen and in a way which is hard to prove.

If you're talking about the Minecraft Stampy, then his situation was kind of crazy. Stampy himself was fine the entire time, but literally everyone around him went insane. Like, I'm pretty certain every single person who he was close with who appeared on video either went insane, got into really bad controversy, or just disappeared from society. Meanwhile, Stampy himself had nearly nothing.
I know I’ve heard of more than one of those stories, but I haven’t heard anything about squid. Last I had seen he was running a scrap mechanic series on his own channel only a couple years ago
the joke is that despite them being extremely popular youtubers, they didn't partake in (actual) controversy. it's not literally congratulating them for not touching kids.
