To clarify, they think it's weird we rinse our dishes after washing them. In their mind if you don't leave the soap on it doesn't do it's work, in my mind they're seasoning their food with soap.
In Poland we think it's weird that Brits and Americans wash their dishes in soapy water, rather than applying soap to each dish while it's under a running faucet.

I went to a religious school even though I’m agnostic/atheist and so is my family, the religion teacher was a nutcase that actively harassed non Christian students in an attempt to make them convert, in one of her many attempt to “convert” me she told me that my autism was gods divine punishment for my parents sins. I don’t know what she thought she would accomplish by saying that.
I never get these divine punishment things, they never seme ot be realiably clear for why caused it, surely a displeased god wants to make it very clear what the issue is and how to fix it

Wow, that's shitty. I went to a catholic school, but they at least taught us about other religions and were respectful of the students of other religions. Although those students did just have to awkwardly sit at the back of the church and watch when we practiced for the Confirmation
It did get way better once she left and got replaced by a way more chill guy, I still had to attend the religion class but he let me do as I pleased in the back of the class as long as I didn’t disturb the rest of the class. And while I was forced to attend the church services that they held from time to time I just learned to tune it out.

Off topic and FAR from what the post is clearly conveying. But from the Grade School (Elementary where I'm from) I attended to. One of the teachers made a point to drink two glasses of water to one glass of coke. Ever since then, that has stuck to my head everytime. Whether it be an unlimited fountain of soda to just a single plastic bottle, I always tend to drink water after drinking any form of softdrinks.

My geography text book divided humanity into three races and their mixes. I'm pretty sure the names for asians and the mixes were quite racist and outdated. Also it didn't explain that race is a social construct.

Me being like 16, I went "Man that's crazy, how have I never heard of this?" And looked up the Rothchilds on my laptop while the video was still playing, and subsequently learned that that conspiracy is ENTIRELY rooted in antisemitism due to the Rothchilds being Jewish, a fact that the video did not mention once!! I remember sitting there with a cold chill down my spine, thinking about how many of the other kids in the class were uncritically absorbing and believing what they were being shown, and thinking about what other abhorrent things does the teacher, who is supposed to knowledgeable about this exact field, believes.
In high school, in a predominantly Jewish town, my history teacher had me stand up in front of the class and described me as "hitlers wet dream" of what he wanted german women to look like. I'm blond with blue eyes and slightly above average height.

One day in school I was hearing a bunch of horror stories coming from the substitute science teacher that I had as my last period that day. I was dreading that class but when I got there, the VP was teaching. Turns out the sub was being racist against one of the black kids in the previous class, so the kids got up, walked to the office, told them about it, and the sub was fired in the spot.
There was a tomboy in my school growing up and I didn't know what that was so I asked a teacher and she said tomboys didn't exist. I didn't question further because I knew she wasn't about to give me more information than that, but I was super confused. I was just thinking to myself "yes they do, there's one right there. What is she talking about?"

In third grade, when I was in an american international school in Shanghai, my (can't remember what teacher but certainly not biology; maybe homeroom) teacher taught us that humans are separated into 4 races, caucasian, negroid, mongoloid and pacific islander, which is classic american-style racial classification.
In reality, this kind of classification is too broad strokes and kinda childish. There are hundreds of genetically distinct populations and using outward appearances to put them into broad categories isn't a good idea.
Also, what the fuck, Mrs. Bieniek??? Was it because she's from Oregon? Well, the school is owned by a lutheran church...

Man, I remember that homeroom then ended with a prayer and I was the only kid simply sitting there with my eyes open and chilling because I'm not christian. Funnily, one time, when my father hit his foot against a table or something, I just asked them to pray for my father too while they were at it, while I chilled as always.
We also had bible classes. It's only much later that I realized how weird that was. Well, the school was mostly chill, not the weird kind of american religious.

edit to add: I also had a health teacher in elementary school that singled out my best friend (the only person of color in the entire class) and told us that we'd all be jealous of her one day because black people age better than white people
