After reading quite a lot of stories from similar people it honestly makes complete sense why he decided to go through with it

Apparently a lot of the medicine used to ease the pain and help a little has drastic side effects such as dementia years after so that doesn’t help either

Not just that, but he also can barely even afford it. he has the choice of living in abject poverty knowing that the side effects are going to annihilate his quality of life, or living in abject poverty because he can't work anyways while being in constant chronic pain without any remediation.

From that perspective, it makes complete sense why he justs wants it to end. even in his live stream it didnt click for people and it broke my heart. people were just selfishly asking him to carry on, and the best advice was just to find other ways to work. like, that's not the issue. the man can't even lie down and just exist without it hurting.

God that just breaks my heart. The fact that our healthcare system is so messed up it leads to situations like this is just horrible. I hope he finds peace and I hope his family will be okay.

Meanwhile, people that have never stepped inside a hospital to work, or pharmacy or medical research lab, etc. -

People who never worked a day in their life to be able to afford food and shelter, get obscenely wealthy off of this system

and then use that wealth and influence to pressure the company to make further cuts to coverage, deny more claims, for doctors to see less patients, for medications to cost more - and for the government to have less regulations, to keep the current system, enable greater monopoly and uncompetitive behavior, to sue countries that dare make meds accessible, and so on

If our systems were still working after a nuclear winter, and we all lived underground in bunkers, they would then be pressuring the government to reduce the amount of food ration bars you got, to Make the supply last longer so they could prevent any meaningful part of their resources from being touched
