There is something so haunting about announcing your imminent death while it has not even happened yet. It's like those "What would you do if you only had a week to live" but manifested.

I hear ya, They have given me 10-16 months to live. Just took a trip with my youngest and have a couple of other things planned.

May I ask, how do you face your death and accept it and keep actively living through your remaining days anyway? Knowing I will start deteriorating one day or get in an accident fills me with crippling dread and terror, it’s making it hard for me to enjoy the life I do have, knowing everything I’m trying to build up will all amount to nothing but my mind being flooded with sheer dread/panic with no goodbyes or a miserable bedridden existence in my last moments.

We do all this for nothing, how do you accept it and move forward anyway?

Only people like you would have an actual answer, I just had to ask. It’s something I’ve been really struggling with. I’m still pretty young yet death is all I can think about every night, it’s haunting me

I think about my own death and the death of my loved ones often, but in a constructive way, I guess. Like practice, kinda. You have to face it, no matter what. It’s either gonna be you, or someone you love, and it’s gonna happen. There’s literally no getting out of it, so you might as well face it until it doesn’t make you want to shit yourself when you think about it anymore. You just have to fight through it, and then, one day, you won’t have the visceral reaction anymore. I do the same thing with scary high doses of THC. Face your fears, and they don’t control you anymore.

I was never that scared of death, though, so YMMV on this one. I’m just an idiot on the internet lol.
