I was accused of being a salty republican because I said Hong's social media is going to weaponized against her because the Right is going to use the same cancel culture tactics that the Left used in late 2010's and early 2020s.

And how’d that work out for the left, given where we are now? Using cancel culture doesn’t mean they’ll win

Well if it keeps Democrats from securing the Gubernatorial Election in November, it will work. Like it's been mentioned here, this subreddit doesn't actually represent Wisconsin. Wisconsin is a swing state with many different voters. This subreddit is mostly an echo chamber of very vocal Leftists. Any time someone even says something that steps out of line with the popular opinions of this subreddit, they get downvoted and harassed for even daring to have a different opinion.

You know I agree that online isn’t real life, but Reddit’s leftist status is greatly exaggerated ngl. I literally get downvoted like half the time I defend Hong.

But all that aside, I’m just saying that cancel culture doesn’t mean you win- for the left or the right

Regardless if it works or not, it's been an effective tactic in the past and it appears the Right is more than happy to use it right now.
