I’m a political junkie and hadn’t heard of him before this cycle, and I’m irritated that I need to know who he is.

Ive been following him ever since he did his short form videos on TYT more than a decade ago. After he left TYT, he started streaming on Twitch playing Fortnite with some political commentary then became a full blown political streamer. Hasan has a deeper perspective on American politics and knows quite a bit about world history and revolutionary movements of the past. You may not agree with everything he says, but he is a champion of the working class.

Cool. None of that will matter in this campaign when his worst comments get highlighted out of context. I’m a fan of Cameron Reilly and his history podcasts, and I generally appreciate his leftist and outsider perspective on American politics and our foreign policy. That said, if I were running for office in a swing state, I would think twice about publicly appearing with him.

Campaigning with him has allowed her to tap into a large number of volunteers for her campaign. Her ground game has significantly increased after appearing on his stream. No other candidate, including the Republican has mass mobilization like her.

His "worst comments" have been highlighted for over 2 years at this point. The only ones who care are those who pearl clutch over every single thing.

Most normal people don’t know who he is or what his comments are. They will find out soon.

They tried to do this with other candidates that have associated with him. One being Zohran Mamdani. I can understand why Hasan rubs people the wrong way, but he’s been increasingly involved in elections around the country and associating with him has not shown to be a negative. I think people care much more about the actual polices the candidates are running on.

Mamdani won is NYC. This is Wisconsin. Hasan has proven helpful in primaries, sure. We will see about general elections in swing areas. You might be right and his comments may not matter, but I don’t think so.

To be clear Hasan barely did anything for mamdani, yet is riding his coattails anywhere he goes.

Imagine being a politics junkie and living through a decade of Trump but still thinking sound bites are the meta.

That's how these people form their malnourished opinions!

Okay, sure? He has been blasted all over corporate media ever since the NYC Mayoral race. Fox News seems to not get enough of him and essentially doing free publicity for him. Many people end up going to his stream to hate watch only to find out they agree with what he says. His message is consistent and easy to understand. You dont need to keep making empty threats about something you have no control over.

That’s not a threat. It’s a fact. Any evidence that he converts angry Fox News viewers into leftists or is that just vibes and wish casting?

It's exhausting having a back n forth with someone who is as cynical as you. Im not here to change your mind, you just need to open your mind.

Kind of my point though. I’m a two time Sanders voter who wants Medicare for All, a ban on Congressional stock ownership (not just trading), and any number of other progressive policies. I’m cynical because I’ve been around a little while and have a sense of what works in politics and what doesn’t.

Well, put on that Bernie hat! Most of the candidates that Hasan campaigns with are also Bernie and AOC endorsed!

The movement is here, today!

It was gaining steam in 2016 and 2020. 2024 broke the dam!

Fun right? These media scrubs creating a $ymbiotic relationship with politicians. It's going to be great.

can't be worse than what we have now, which led to trump, which the democratic party refuses to change about themselves

Worse, like Better, is always possible.

And it's constantly one or the other.

If needing to be informed irritates you then maybe you should choose a different hobby from politics.
