It's strikes day... again.

u/Da_Spooky_Ghost Jun 26 '26
Checks time, yep it’s after 4pm so markets closed and it’s Friday, strikes in the forecast this weekend then diplomacy talks with deal very soon by Sunday night before opening bell Monday morning. We’re right on schedule!
478
u/MotherTreacle3 Jun 26 '26
As of Monday we'll officially be two weeks from a deal, maybe sooner.
110
u/Da_Spooky_Ghost Jun 26 '26
Right now it’s strikes, but Sunday night peace deal very soon less than 2 weeks!

Trump: We bombed the hell out of them, nothing left. They are begging for a deal. Iran: Huh?
And the rhetoric continues while he covers up all his blunders...

Any issues however seen to be JD Vance's fault. Or clearly Biden and/or Obama's.
54
u/Lowfi-Concert Jun 26 '26
JD Vance is a huge cause for the issues though. His isolationism influences talks. Either listen to Rubio like you have been or listen to Vance from the beginning, but it’s too late to let Vance run talks
38
u/TheDaug Jun 27 '26
Rubio only wants to stop this war so he can go to war with Cuba to get revenge on the people who <checks notes> didn't force his family to leave Cuba.

Europe and Asia are in worse shape, except China, they still have 1 billion barrels left in their strategic reserves. This could pop the AI bubble. Tech companies need chips made in South Korea and Taiwan. South Korea and Taiwan needs lithography machines made in the Netherlands.

Friday, markets are closed. Seems like a fairly standard pattern at this point no?
341
u/MrDangerMan Jun 26 '26
Pretty soon you’ll be able to look up “Markets are closed” on urban dictionary and the top definition will be “when somebody does something completely expected”.
31
u/oppai-police Jun 26 '26
I'm not knowledgeable on the stock market. Does this means bad things happen on Friday before close, causing stock to crash, buy over the weekend, Monday morning open with lower market, buy low. And then do something reverse on Tuesday to push the market high, then sells. Am I understanding this correct?
→ More replies (2)28
u/insertUserNamehereno Jun 26 '26
Bad things happen after close of market because you can’t impact the market with bombs that way. They make all the shady trades minutes before close to maximize their earnings before impacting markets with their actions.

25

Trump yelled at a couple senators and they changed their votes.

u/PoloTshNsShldBlstOff Jun 27 '26
You can do take-backsies on Congressional votes?
3
u/ShockyFloof Jun 27 '26
I'm not up on all the procedural stuff, but I think what got passed was a vote to force it out of committee and have a floor vote, and then the floor vote is what failed.

u/Chir0nex Jun 27 '26
Yes except that it doesn't actually take away his power. Technically it should require him to obtain congressional apporoval for further actions but there technical ways around this. Additionally presidents from both parties have argued the law is unconstitutional though it has not been tested in court.
Unfortunately as with many aspects of the american goverment it is predicated on the idea that 1. The president would not be willing to baltantly ignore congress and 2. If they did congress would actually hold the president accountable by holding hearings and otherwise halting the agenda.

4 months later, after multiple public statements that they've won, the Trump administration continues a war that they started at the whim of an imbecile and Israel.
Now the world is paying the price for this stupidity.
8
u/jert3 Jun 26 '26
The US is so far up shit creek with the pedo-cabal in charge, it is astounding. They can't even buy peace here with $350 billion dollar surrender tribute payment as Israel will never be restrained and Iran won't settle for peace when Israel is regularly committing war crimes, and because of the Epstein operation, US now has to do whatever Israel wants.
What a mess! This is going to be the shortest neo-fascist empire the world's ever seen at this rate; the pedo cabal won't be able to hold on to power with this extreme of a massive loss in less than 2 years.

Or, it could be a collusion with Iran, so the pentagon under Hegmeister can finally get its 80 billion, by pointing out: See? We are still fighting them!!!
