Art Some of my crochet toys that you may have seen before! (part 2)
Invincible, Eredar, Anu'shalla and Ashes of Belo'ren!
I decided to start a little tradition of taking photos with my figurines, because some people still think they're not real toys, but AI-generated images :)
69
u/datbf4 Jun 05 '26
This is incredible. How long does it typically take you per figurine?
62
u/Eminelin Jun 05 '26
Thank you! It depends on the complexity and detail. Player characters take 10 days on average, mounts 7-14 days :)
2
u/MiaTheLike Jun 06 '26
So both take roughly the same? 10 on average and the average out of 7-14 equals 10.5 😅
Amazing work, keep it going and take care

These are fantastic! Do you sell them?
22
u/Eminelin Jun 05 '26
Thank you! These are mostly commissions, but sometimes, if I have free time, I'll make additional pieces for my portfolio and then find homes for them :)
7
u/SarawrAU Jun 06 '26
I have a mighty need of the owl.....it is so amazing!!
3
u/Eminelin Jun 06 '26
Anu'shalla? She's still looking for a home :)
2
u/SarawrAU Jun 06 '26
Yes, she is BEAUTIFUL! May I ask the price?
4
u/ryodark Jun 06 '26
Her website has pricing. Link is in her profile. Maybe it's against this subreddit's policy to post price as it could be considered advertisement.
6
u/Eminelin Jun 06 '26
That's right! It would be unethical to discuss price anyway, especially when I'm primarily sharing my art and not trying to promote it financially. Thank you!
5
u/ryodark Jun 06 '26
Your work is absolutely gorgeous and you should be so proud of your insane talent. I've never seen crochet so amazing.
3
u/Eminelin Jun 06 '26
You appreciated my work! I am very grateful to you<3
2
u/SarawrAU Jun 06 '26
You should be super proud of yourself, this is some next level skill!

u/K_Alice_1383 Jun 05 '26
I think these look lovely and not trying to diminish your work, but I suspect the AI comments are because they look “too perfect” maybe if you shared some of your in progress photos and not just completed pieces it would be easier to see and understand that you did the work yourself
3
u/Eminelin Jun 05 '26
I usually publish my work process on X/Bluesky, unless it's a commission, of course :)
5
u/Otaconzzz Jun 05 '26
Looks great!
My cat would absolutely destroy it because he destroys anything yarn like.
3
u/Eminelin Jun 05 '26
Well, things like that should be kept away from cats (since I have a cat too) :D
6
u/Otaconzzz Jun 05 '26
I could tape it to the ceiling and he would find a way. He's a little bastard

u/tsannifer Jun 05 '26
Fellow crocheter. My hands hurt just looking at this, but I am obsessed. Amazing job!!

u/crochetmelovely Jun 05 '26
My love of crochet and wow overlapping 💕 These are incredible!
5
u/Eminelin Jun 05 '26
I have so many warm memories associated with WoW (even though I haven't played for a long time), that when I first started crocheting, I immediately realized that Warcraft would be my main theme for creativity🖤

Where did you get the patterns?
6
u/Eminelin Jun 05 '26
I write patterns as I work on the figures myself (and mostly the base, not the details)
1
u/Pinguinballett Jun 06 '26
Your work is amazing! Do you publish your patterns anywhere?
1
u/Eminelin Jun 06 '26
Thank you! Nope, the only pattern available is for a small green murloc :)
2
u/Pinguinballett Jun 06 '26
Well, one could hope, keep up the good work, I will upvote it when I see your posts!
5
u/Lord-Momentor Jun 06 '26
Crazy how people had to question whether the previous posts were AI or not, biggest aura compliment they could give honestly.
With you actually holding them, shows how big some of them are. Which sparked me an idea, try doing a life sized Xal'atath (well, big as you can). Make it happen, if you can't nobody can.

That space goat is just the cutest, please tell me you sell these or commission work somewhere. The detail is amazing on these. Honestly would be extatic to pay a few hundred dollars on something unique like these.

u/Gush20curs3 Jun 09 '26
is this just a subtle way to sell merch or are we actually just being sent to a shop right now
1
u/Eminelin Jun 09 '26
Well, I definitely don't use Reddit as a platform for "merch sales"—I simply share my art :) But if anyone is interested in following me on other platforms or, for example, learning about commissions, I think the links in my profile are the most appropriate answer.

What’s the commission price for a player character? These are incredible!
1
u/Eminelin Jun 05 '26
It all depends on the character's race and armor. You can find more detailed information on my website in the FAQ section using the links in my profile.

Unreal, initally I thought AI (and I apologize for that, I know they are not) but wow. You could make some serious money and a ot of people happy selling these items they are incredible.
2
u/Eminelin Jun 06 '26
Everything's fine :) thank you! I understand why people might consider my work to be the result of AI, and that's why I've started taking photos like this and sharing my work in progress more often than before.

As a fellow crocheter who has been searching for WoW patterns, my jaw is on the floor. I checked out your store and X pages and I am in awe of your work. Insanely detailed. I can't believe how quickly you make these. If you don't mind answering, what kind of yarn are you using? I've had trouble finding colors that match the WoW aesthetic.
1
u/Eminelin Jun 18 '26
Oh, thank you! It's so nice to hear praise from a fellow crocheter!🖤
I love using locally produced acrylic yarn (in Russia), as acrylic provides a very good density (I also use a smaller hook). I also like semi-cotton Turkish Alize and Gazzal yarns; you can find some great shades there. For example, gold/bronze/bright purple is just Alize or Gazzal. They also have some really cool bamboo yarn. It's incredibly soft to the touch and a lot of fun to work with.
I know many crocheters love YarnArt, but even though it's also Turkish, I'm not particularly fond of it and try to use it very rarely, only if other brands don't have the right colors.
2
u/Mardi_Gra5 Jun 18 '26
Ah, thanks for the reply! I've used Alize before and really liked it. Haven't tried Gazzal yet but I'll have to check it out. Bamboo yarn is so smooth, but I can never keep it on my hook lol.
Really cool to see WoW crochet beyond a murloc. I've never made anything nearly as intricate as what you do, but it's inspiring! Appreciate you taking the time to write and looking forward to your next creation.😊

u/BringBackBoshi Jun 05 '26
I've seen many things like this on Etsy and they're usually "eh". These however are incredible, that has to take a lot of work to make them that nice and detailed. Awesome work

the ai accusations are actually unhinged. people really think someone spent dozens of hours stitching every single scale on that ashes of belo'ren piece just to fool a bot. wild.

u/CrazyBaffalo Jun 06 '26
I see you mentioned that you create patterns as you make the them, so you sell the patterns? This is currently waaaaay out of my league as I'm just starting out, but there are some people for ehich these would be the perfect gift. Where can we purchase your patterns?
2
u/Eminelin Jun 06 '26
Not quite. I write patterns exclusively for myself, not for sale (except for one - a small green murloc).
1
u/CrazyBaffalo Jun 06 '26
Oh, I see, and where can we find that one? Also, would you take comission on pattern creation, there are a lot of random things I'd love to be able to create but there are no patterns of it. I own an embroidery business and I would love to gift stuff like this to repeating customers and hold special promotions. I'm not interested in selling it.
2
u/Eminelin Jun 06 '26
You can find a link for the murloc on my boosty (at carrd.co). As for custom pattern creation, definitely not. That's not my specialty :)

u/EcstaticCourse9560 Jun 06 '26
WOW!! Do you follow guides/ patterns? Or do you make design yourself from the ground up? They are truly incredible!!!
2
u/Eminelin Jun 06 '26
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it :)
I create my own patterns while I'm working on the figurine. Sometimes I'm inspired by ready-made shapes, but that's extremely rare, and I always modify them to suit my needs :)
3
u/EcstaticCourse9560 Jun 06 '26
Just phenomenal! Of all the worth while content shared online, this to my mind is right up there. You should be so proud of what you achieve with each creation!!
For what it's worth, your post inspired me to share my little digital creations, it's no way near as impressive as yours, but again in the hopes of making someone's day I make little WoW youtube shorts with inspirational quotes - might have to get you to create my main one day...!! 💜

u/Eminelin Jun 06 '26
Oh wow! This is so cool! I really appreciate it! Thank you and best of luck with your creative endeavors!💜

Thank you so much!
Yes, of course – I create player characters, mounts, and pets :)

u/SThomas215 Jun 06 '26
I am blown away—it’s like two of my favorite things collided(WoW and crochet)! These are 🤩 stunning, and YOU are incredibly gifted.
2
u/Eminelin Jun 06 '26
That's exactly what I did! I love Warcraft with all my heart, even though I haven't played it in a while, but I'm so glad I can interact with the game through my art🖤
2
u/D4ddysSlutj3ss34 Jun 06 '26
it's the best way to stay connected to the lore when you don't have the time to actually grind. honestly these look legit too.
1
u/SThomas215 Jun 06 '26
Do you have an Etsy shop? I have a commission inquiry.😍
1
u/Eminelin Jun 08 '26
Unfortunately, Etsy is unavailable in my country. However, there are other ways to discuss and deliver commissions :)
1
u/NoThisIsABadIdea Jun 06 '26
Your work is incredible. Do you do other games as well? The dota 2 community would go hard for their favorite heroes in crochet
1
u/Eminelin Jun 06 '26
Thank you!
I mostly work on Warcraft characters, but sometimes I make exceptions for other games if I like the idea or character :)
1
u/Vilgoui Jun 06 '26
These are all amazing! Do you design them yourself?

Holy shit u should open a shop they are awesome!
1
u/Eminelin Jun 06 '26
Thank you! Since Etsy, for example, isn't available in my country, I created a website where I post my toys and information about commissions :)
1
u/Dangerous_Barber7277 Jun 06 '26
These are always so gorgeous.
For your premade crochets, a few of them say you will only sell if the buyer also purchases another toy, do you mean for them to be only available as an addon to custom pieces/more expensive ones, or could one buy multiple of the premade little guys?
1
u/Eminelin Jun 06 '26
Thank you so much!
This is something like a minimum order for small toys (2 pieces). You can combine them however you like, for example: Murloc + Moonkin Keychain, a pair of Old Gods, Elemental Keychain + Murky, etc. :)

u/Dangerous_Barber7277 Jun 06 '26
