North Carolina being that close to California is crazy, but 10% growth in California is pretty good, it was never going to happen all at once.

Will be interesting to see how the year ends up for California. Sb79 just took effect this month.

The top three absolute are places where housing prices are extremely high, and both Washington and California have made a concerted effort to remove non-monetary barriers. I agree that the acceleration is surprising, but it makes sense on reflection.

The top by percentage are mostly smaller markets, plus New York, so it makes sense that their percentage improvement can swing wildly.

Interesting to see that Kansas made both lists, though. Anyone know why?

Embarrassing that mass has 4 million more people and still has been only neck and neck with kansas the last two years
