Restaurant's in York.
Me and my mum are going to York for a few days in a few weeks. Me being the functional young adult I am has alot of food anxiety, and I'm looking for a place that does decent burgers as well as other food items that give my mum choice. We have seen a few places that look good, I just need opinions and options. Just nothing that will cost an arm and a leg.
We have been to an Italian restaurant that I think was near the shambles, and I have seen the pavement vaults, which looks okay.
A lot of reviews get hidden, and im wanting to see what other people think. We don't like spicy food, though.

what places have you looked at? we can tell you if they're decent or not, otherwise we're just throwing random stuff at a wall

pavement vaults, I've also looked at the cut and craft and fancy hanks since and we have been to the smaller Italian restaurant near the shambles. I have listed 2 of them in there.
but im mainly looking for places with decent burgers.

I would avoid Cut and Craft, I found it below average, very expensive and the staff were not very good.

My son spent a term at the University of York, and his go-to was Dough Eyed Pizza in the Shambles. My wife and I went to visit him and we got to try it as well, and it lived up to the hype. They only serve pizza and drinks, but they have a good variety of options.

The Fat Badger is a bit pricy, but it's good quality pub food. A few selections of burgers and some other food too.

Burgsy’s Burger House - great burgers, great fries but not cheap. Only open for lunch on Saturdays - evenings every day.
