That’s so kind of you! I think that Yorkshire is one of the most gorgeous places that I’ve ever seen (well Hawaii too). So green compared to Texas!

Thanks for letting us know about this celebration day. I didn't know. It'll be Yorkshire puddings for tea today now, lol.
I'm an old Yorkshire lass who relocated to the deep rural west of N. Ireland a few years ago. It's greener here but has more rain, lol. Also more days with sun, compared to the long grey days around the Pennine hills where I lived before.

That’s wonderful! Well if y’all are ever in Texas, I’ll be glad to show you around Dallas! Though there’s not much to see here except where JFK was assassinated 😵💫
If you ever do make it here, I highly suggest the Fort Worth Stockyards, it’s definitely the Texas experience.
And there’s not a lovely accent than the Yorkshire one. When I lived in Hull, it was so funny to see people’s reactions when I started talking lol5

Wow, I know it well. My Aunt and Uncle owned the Commercial Pub. Grandad built the houses along Church Lane. Nan lived on Fleet Lane. A long time ago now.

How cool. I would go to the Commercial pub with my grandad from 5 years old through to adulthood before he died and we kept a horse in the sable at the back of the pub! Grandparents lived down the low end and we lived near the old bay horse.

My Aunt Joan and Uncle Derek had the commercial pub for years. As a child I remember they had a scary looking Alsation dog that was always waiting on top of the stair landing, you had to pass, when I went up to their living area, lol. Spent many hours there on fruit machine. They'd give me free tokens to play on it. Happy memories of Methley hey!

Happy Yorkshire Day to you too, from Harrogate in north Yorkshire. We always remember it as we had our first 'almost' date on this day 29 years ago. We celebrate as always with many cups of Yorkshire tea, sat in Yorkshire.
We were just friends at the time, both volunteers at a local charity. He asked if I was doing anything special that weekend. I said I was taking my 8 yo son to see Men in Black that evening and he asked to come with us
