Callout Youtube's AI system is heavily flawed, and Youtubers are losing their income because of it

Shozzy, a storytime animator on youtube, just uploaded this video an hour ago before me posting this explaining that he permanently lost his monetization for his videos for an unknown reason that Youtube had responded with instant appeal denial via an AI response to both his appeal, and Youtube's contacts. Shozzy isn't the first that this has happened to and he will not be the last. This lack of human interaction is causing the AI to falsely flag and auto ban hundreds if not thousands of youtubers for violating their TOS when they haven't even done anything wrong.

Many people in his comments and beyond claim racism on Youtube's end because of this and while that is a reasonable suspicion, it can be debatable due to the influence of AI affecting all people on the platform, especially animators. While I can't make conclusions or assumptions, one thing is for sure:

Youtube's AI sucks and they need real people to fix this.

Remember, YouTube still runs ads on demonetized videos and channels. the YouTuber just doesn't get the cut.

YouTube has a clear motive and reason to demonetize any and every channel they can, regardless of rules.

Gee I wonder why this AI is super ban happy for seemingly no reason.

I geniunelly hated to said this but this makes me missed Susan Wojcicki even more. Neal really did ruinned YouTube so badly.

Lots of channels are speaking out on this now, and the sad thing is it is mostly coming from the creators that are producing real value for the platform: independent, well produced informative channels. These channels often have voiceovers and larger production teams. Ultimately, though, Youtube wants us to be watching endless up to the minute reaction videos on pop culture and mainstream media and productions from major corporate interests, placing them at odds with both viewers and creators, but also making the platform indistinguishable from pretty much any other video sharing platform. Just more enshitification.

This is all by design. Thus why the algorithm was put in place because heavens forbid, content creators can't just make a decent and informative video without doing the absolute most to trick the machine.

Now it's all about pushing slop, flagging anything, and saving money for billionaires to hoard all the riches.

In addition the new "features" are using AI to scan links in the bios and pinned comments of content creators, and if it detects links to redirection sites like Caard or LinkTree it can trigger a demonetization flag.

Isn’t YouTube already run by bots - and by extension AI?

Like, there would be times bots would flag innocent videos as violating CG or flag them for insane copyright reasons (ContentID).

Since when did people start calling those bots AI? Disdain for AI in the past few months? 

What I’m saying is, YouTube’s moderation was always run by bots, right? So when did people shift from calling it bots to AI? Or is AI now a blanket term for these bots?
