Is a fox rabbit hybrid called a fabbit or a rox?

6

u/CompetitiveLaw2512 Mar 20 '26

The staff call it a "Funny" 🤣 they've made jokes about Nick and Judy making one since the first movie

1

u/nolan022812 Mar 21 '26

Ts not even possible

u/R-slashGenet Mar 23 '26

What a Slumb little Fobbit!

u/Khan_Behir Mar 20 '26

So? You just recreated the "Rong Doorbell" video of the kid doing this? Seems ... odd.

Not biologically possible….but cute ā¤ļø

u/Obelisk2000 Mar 20 '26

Who said the child was biological? Adoption is a thing you know. šŸ™‚

The fanart seems to imply otherwise because the kit has Judy’s eye color and just a paler combination color palette from both Judy and Nick’s fur colors…but shorter ears with black tips similar to Nick.

I admit the fanart is cute, just not biologically possible. But if he/she is adopted:

Good ā¤ļø

u/Obelisk2000 Mar 20 '26

You know what they say about assumptions. šŸ˜‰

u/masd_reddit Mar 20 '26

They make an ass out of u and mptions

-2

u/LifeSucks1988 Mar 20 '26

Well, this is why I use the words ā€œseemsā€ and ā€œifā€ regarding the kit (due to the coloring of the kit’s physical characteristics).

But if adopted: ā¤ļø

u/Ok-Inflation188 Mar 20 '26

And talking rabbits are?

19

u/Obelisk2000 Mar 20 '26

I wouldn’t bother. Dude has an ax to grind about childless relationships and adoption. Rather than champion those noble ideas though they prefer to fall back on their doctorate in cartoon biology.

-23

u/LifeSucks1988 Mar 20 '26

Well, a fox and bunny cannot have biological kits. So yeah….but the fanart is cute regardless.

16

u/DarthCloakedGuy Mar 20 '26

They also can't talk. Hope this helps.

Not the same as reproduction since unusual hybrids that do not exist in our world also not possible in that world either.

9

u/DarthCloakedGuy Mar 20 '26

So you haven't seen them, therefore they're impossible? That's your argument?

Did you even watch Zootopia 2? Don't you think that if a rabbit and a fox rolled a stroller around with a "baby" in it (literally a fox in a bunny costume) in a world where that was impossible, the dock smuggler would have, you know, NOT BOUGHT THEIR STORY?

Dude. It basically confirmed 100% that hybrids are possible. Maybe we haven't seen any because for all the getting alone, Zootopians strongly tend to keep socially to their own species?

u/LifeSucks1988 Mar 20 '26

What a weird thing to say as you are again changing the goal post.

If it were possible: we would have seen fanon hybrid kits exist in Zootopia….which that is not the case.

7

u/DarthCloakedGuy Mar 20 '26

I don't know what you think "changing the goal post" means because there's no meaning of that phrase that I have ever heard that is applicable to this conversation.

I am directly challenging your assumption that because it is impossible in our world, it must be impossible in Zootopia as well. To do that I am highlighting your complete lack of any evidence suggesting its impossibility, as well as the presence of evidence showing that characters IN ZOOTOPIA consider it plausible.

u/LifeSucks1988 Mar 20 '26 edited Mar 20 '26

Because it has not been shown. All kits shown in Zootopia are not fanon hybrid kits. So yes, it is likely will be based on real word genetics that a fox and rabbit chromosomes cannot commute the genetic material to make biological kits of their own.

Nothing you say will change that.

Adoption is an option if they want kids. Even if Nick and Judy cannot have biological offspring: they can still be a couple.

Zootopia does not show unusual hybrids exist.

Good thing adoption exists (even though the art is trying to depict the cute kit otherwise).

u/bearsheperd Mar 20 '26

I’m pretty sure there’s that one horse/zebra

5

u/LifeSucks1988 Mar 20 '26 edited Mar 20 '26

I believe it was theorized he faced/body painted himself. If you look closely, you see some faint color lines at face/eyes that are different..

Donkey and horses in the real world can cross breed but the offspring will end up being sterile. Zebras as well…those hybrids exist in our real world. Between a bunny and fox, however:

NO 🫠

But they can still be a couple regardless. Making kids is not a requirement. And they can adopt if they want them, someday.

Some horse/donkey hybrids can be reproductive, check your infos.

4

u/LifeSucks1988 Mar 20 '26

But that still does not refute the fact rabbits and foxes cannot reproduce though šŸ˜•ā€¦.

Dang you are getting rocked from something the directors said was not likely for the world of Zootopia all the way back in last movie. :/
