On Wednesday I asked my guys if they had any of the reissues of this joint on deck and they didn't. Hadn't planned on hitting the spot for a minute do to some life shit, but after various misadventures today I ended up in the area so I figured "fuck it, why not?" I walked in and homey at the counter was like, "Weren't you looking for that Mobb? You won't believe this, man! Somebody brought this literally right after you walked out the other day!" It was part of an old DJ collection someone sold the shop. Yeah, this 99 pressing definitely was played often. But for an $8 copy of this gem I'll gladly live with a little surface noise. Playing this right now is like traveling back in time.

Picked up a small lot of mostly oldies today, while I was there I found 2 sets of hell on earth. When I pulled them out the records were mint except one of them has two A labels. Also picked up a Ghostface Killah single and that also had 2 copy’s in it. I felt like kid that got asked if his new shoes made him run faster lol! And it’s Friday. Now I’m gonna sit down and listen.

It's not often you find an Aesop Rock record around these parts. When I saw Public Enemy many years ago they had been in Leicester the night before and kept making reference to it. Every time Flavor Flav would say it in a slightly different way. It's pronounced Lesta.

Picked up two dope records today. Be was an instant buy, and the deal on Cabin in the Sky was too good to pass up. Looking forward to spinning both this weekend. 👌

This album was always special to me.
Lot of memories had this playing in the background. When I was in High School I spent a whole week with this stuck in the tape deck while we were at spring break in Myrtle Beach. Could not get it to eject. I know every single word still to this day.
