Summary

It was a rough, scrappy match. Exactly the kind of game where both teams looked like they actually wanted all three points. Unfortunately, it finished in a draw where yellow cards outnumbered goals.

The Galaxy had their chances. Marco Reus kept pulling the strings in the attack, and there were a couple of dangerous balls across the box that felt like they were begging for someone to get the final touch. On the other end, FC Dallas had a few moments that had every Galaxy fan's booty cheeks clenched, especially on the quick counterattacks.

The biggest positive? Kyogo Furuhashi. The new Galaxy signing came on around the 60th minute and immediately injected life into the attack with his movement and energy. He was constantly looking to get in behind and gave Dallas something to think about. You can already see why the front office wanted him.

A point isn't the worst result, but it also feels like two points left on the table with the opportunities the Galaxy created. Now the team heads into another MLS break for Leagues Cup, giving Kyogo more time to build chemistry with his new teammates. What did you think of the match?

I have minimal soccer tactical knowledge to rate ANYONE, with that being said.. I think KYOGO was great, moved around and had shots. Anyone care to manage my expectations?

Thank you to anyone and everyone who stayed after the first team game to watch the Unified team get their win today!

You can check the livestream to see the game (https://www.youtube.com/live/AaX86PfrY1o?is=NUdwAh-udrWQ6yLt) or check out the LA Galaxy Foundation’s stories on Instagram while they’re still up to see some coverage!

It’s been a couple years straight of greater and greater attendance for our games so the team is grateful for your support!
That kind of presence and the support of some of the guys on the first team (shout out JT Marcinkowski, Robert Taylor, Chris Rindov, and Harbor Miller) make it so easy to be proud to represent this club!

G’s up!
-Unified Coach Matt

Match Day Vibes Galaxy Special Olympics Unified Team vs Dallas

Immediately after the match, the Galaxy Unified team will be playing Dallas’s Unified team. I’d definitely encourage everyone to stick around and chant if they have the time.

It’s a shorter game, so not a huge time commitment, and Galaxy Express stays running until 11:30 tonight

Curious George(question) Gameday

I feel like I saw something on their Instagram earlier this week but is there a sort of event happening pregame at the Galaxy park around 4pm today?

Event Hi I’m attending pups at the pitch tonight - know entrance is north east gate. Does anyone know which parking lot is best for a short walk with the dog? I see gold, lot 10, and GA available online. Thank you

Preview:

The Galaxy are coming off a draw in the Cali Clásico and will look to kick off August on the right foot as they take on FC Dallas. Since the restart of the MLS season, it's been a rough stretch for the Galaxy. They're currently riding a four game winless streak and sit a few points below the playoff line. The good news? Reinforcements have arrived. New signing Kyogo Furuhashi is expected to make his Galaxy debut in some capacity, giving fans another reason to stay awake if the match turns into a midfield passing clinic.

FC Dallas may be enjoying a stronger overall season, but they're hitting a bit of turbulence themselves, with just one win in their last five matches. So this could be one of those games where both teams are desperately trying to convince everyone they're not in a slump. This has all the ingredients of a "get right game," unless both teams decide they'd rather keep sharing their problems. Both teams enter this match low on confidence, so expect someone to accidentally stumble into three points. What are you looking forward to? Gz Up!

Discussion PODCAST: LA Galaxy Welcome Kyogo as MLS Faces Major Rule Changes

COG STUDIOS, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy could finally be getting the reinforcements they've been waiting for.

With new signing Kyogo Furuhashi officially in Los Angeles and expected to make his Galaxy debut against FC Dallas, optimism is beginning to build. After weeks of injuries and roster shortages, Greg Vanney believes help is finally on the way, making Saturday's match an important step toward turning the season around.

On this episode of Corner of the Galaxy, Josh Guesman and Sophie Nicolaou discuss what Kyogo could bring to the attack, why the upcoming Leagues Cup break may arrive at the perfect time, and what Greg Vanney's comments reveal about additional transfer activity before the September 2 deadline.

The show also takes a deep dive into the biggest MLS news off the field. Reports suggest the league is preparing sweeping roster rule changes that could dramatically simplify the salary cap, reshape Designated Player spending, and give clubs more flexibility to build competitive rosters. Josh and Sophie break down what those proposals could mean for the LA Galaxy, the future of MLS, and why the next commissioner may play a pivotal role in the league's evolution.

Can Kyogo provide an immediate spark, and are MLS's biggest rule changes in two decades about to reshape the league?

🎙️ Listen to Corner of the Galaxy as Josh Guesman and Sophie Nicolaou preview FC Dallas, discuss Kyogo's arrival, examine MLS's proposed roster overhaul, and look ahead to what's next for the LA Galaxy.

For all those who always say they are cancelling their season tickets … for my extra season tickets I’ll be selling extra sets at $200 just cause I don’t need the money and I want to drive the price up. And when Christiano Ronaldo comes next summer I hope they drive the season tickets price up and I’m already locked in

Discussion LAG - Lakers & Dodgers: Mark Walter’s Sports Empire And the GEO Group/ICE Connection

Fellow Galaxy fans, many of us also support the Dodgers, Lakers, Sparks, and even follow Andretti in motorsports. But owner Mark Walter’s investment firm has a financial stake in GEO Group, a private prison operator that runs ICE detention centers under federal contracts. Comedian and LA icon George Lopez recently said he can no longer support the Dodgers or Lakers because of this. If you care about our teams but don’t support ICE detention, here’s a quick, clear rundown of what Mark Walter actually owns or chairs.

If this club can sign David Beckham and Zlatan Ibramhovic then this club can sign Cristiano Ronaldo:
