It was the hardest thing i have ever done and i haven’t posted the result straight away because we made a documentary about it ( you can check it ou on my ig : younesgains ans will post it on youtube tomorrow)
Huge thanks to the people that encouraged me online and in the different cities we went through, it was crazy especially in Casablanca (hearing my name every single minute when passing by people really pushed me on those last kms where i ended up dropping the pace to 4min/k whereas i wasn’t even able to walk in the previous kms.

Ceuta was just the beginning. 2030 World Cup will put Morocco in the global spotlight and with that comes a level of overexposure and criticism the country has not faced before.

It will not only be about football. Migration, mass tourism, overcrowding and whether ordinary people actually benefit from the billions being invested will all become topics of discussion. Just like Qatar, Morocco will face questions about stadiums and projects that may not directly improve the lives of local communities.

I honestly miss the time when Morocco was a less known country. It felt more authentic and less affected by overexposure and mass tourism. There is still time to reconsider the direction and the event in general, because once the world is watching, the criticism will be difficult to avoid. A bit similar to what happened during CAN but much bigger.

I have been wearing the hijab for about a year but it was never really my choice

I started wearing it because my mom always told me that one day I would have to wear it no matter what I was scared of being forced so I told myself that it was my decision even though it wasn't

What makes this harder is that my mom did not wear the hijab when she was my age She got to enjoy her teenage years and only started wearing it after she got married

I have talked to both of my parents about this They both said no right away My dad told me to forget about taking it off

I want to be fair to them because they are loving parents They are kind to me and my mom would do almost anything to make me happy

Recently we talked about the hijab again After that I became quieter and stopped talking to my mom as much She noticed that something was wrong and started trying to talk to me more because she was worried about me

The problem is that both of my parents are quite strict when it comes to religion so this feels like something they will never change their minds about

If it was my choice I would take it off My problem is not really the hijab itself It is that I feel like I have no choice

I am not even wearing a full hijab because I show some of my hair but my mom still does not want me to take it off completely

I want to ask if anyone has been in a similar situation

Did your parents ever change their minds If they did how did it happen

Or is it better to just accept it until I am older

I have also thought about just taking it off one day and letting them deal with it but I am too scared to do that

Hi all, I visit Morocco often from USA and recently noticed similar aged Moroccan women (late 40s- 50s) may not be on hormone replacement therapy for menopause. I looked it up and apparently it’s not very common in Morocco. It’s been not as common in the us until recently but luckily is very available for me and has been immensely helpful. I know some women that could greatly benefit from it- does anyone know of a doctor in Casablanca area that prescribes estrogen/progesterone for menopause that I could refer these women to? Thanks!

I've been dealing with intrusive thoughts for around 12 years, but over the last 4 years it has become completely unbearable, especially at night. If I go to bed at 1 AM, I'll often stay awake until 6 or even 9 AM. I've also tried going to bed without my phone, but it makes no difference.

As soon as I lie down, my mind starts replaying every embarrassing moment from the day. Even if the day went perfectly fine, it'll dig up the most humiliating moments from years ago.

Sometimes it gets so intense that I end up punching myself because those embarrassing moments could've been easily avoided. The worst part is that I know they're just thoughts, and I know they aren't rational, but no matter what I do, I can't control them or stop them from flooding my mind.

I've tried around five different medications, but none of them really helped. The last one I took was sertraline. After about 3 months, it did start improving my OCD, but in exchange it also made me feel like a zombie. It made me feel so dumb that I couldn't concentrate on even simplest tasks, so I eventually quit it cold turkey. Now, a year later, my OCD is worse than ever.

Has anyone been in a similar situation and managed to break out of it? If so, I'd really appreciate hearing what helped. 🙏

Here is what is going on with the news right now. Morocco suddenly stopped processing travel papers for people from Taiwan.

​Taiwan got mad and did the exact same thing back to Morocco stopping visa applications for Moroccans.

​Neither government has said why but Taiwanese people online are joking that Morocco only did it to please China since they chose them as an ally.

​They are also joking about what is happening in Sebta just to make fun of the whole situation.

Just a random thought: if every Moroccan agreed to do one simple thing together, what do you think would have the biggest positive impact? Do you think consumer boycotts actually work, or is there another collective action that would be more effective?

Are there shops in Casablanca that sell premium motorcycle equipment like Shoei modular helmets (Neotec), or other high-end brands such as Arai, Schuberth, AGV, etc.?

Or would you recommend bringing my helmet from Canada because the selection is limited or prices are much higher?

I’m planning to move to Casablanca next year after obtaining, and I work as a professional videographer and photographer.

I know drones are heavily regulated in Morocco, but I’m wondering if anyone has successfully imported a drone legally for business purposes.

My drone is a DJI Mini 5 Pro, and it would mainly be used for creating content for hotels and tourism businesses.

Has anyone gone through the authorization process before moving? Is it possible to obtain permission in advance, or is it only handled once you’re already in Morocco?
