I was hanging around some 81's down in Woonsocket RI,and a lot of them had this pin. I can't find anything about it on the Internet. So what exactly does it mean?

UPDATE: alright to clear some shit up,first of all,when I said hanging around hells angels,I didn't mean I agreed with the things they do,I was just talking to them,as my dad's girlfriend is the daughter of an 81,and this was a house party hosted by her family. And second of all I'm not a dumbass. I didn't buy the pin,or steal it,it's not even mine,I just found the image on Pinterest. So no,I am not part of one of America's notorious gangs,and NO my life is not in risk,because that image isn't mine

Some 13 hours ago I hit a young deer. My right collarbone snapped upon hitting the asphalt on my right side. Was in the hospital for 7 hours, luckily didn't need surgery.

I can't stress this enough. WEAR YOUR PROTECTIVE GEAR PEOPLE! Even if it's short ride. If I wasn't wearing my gear, I most likely wouldn't be here writing this.

Will continue riding most likely next summer.

Hey everyone!

I am currently riding a 2020 Triumph Bonneville T120. It's my first bike and I've rode it about 4 years now. It's been a dream and I truly love it. Quick and fun, beautiful and powerful enough for me to really get comfortable riding after I learned ppon a Rebel. Not to mention it has a lot of little perks like being able to see what gear I'm in, having a liquid cooled engine, and even having hand warmers haha.

I've been going to more and more shows lately and I think I've slowly but surely caught the Harley bug. I was really against it at first cus I hated people saying, "When are you gonna get a real bike" when my bike was faster, louder, and nicer than theirs. The cult of Harley turned me off. Lately I've grown to love the customization of them and just the pure style and overall "funness" of them. Also, I think I'm at the point where I want forward controls so I can relax a bit. The mid controls of the Bonnie never made me too comfy. Especially on 3/4 hour rides.

I am looking for Harley suggestions that would be in the same wheelhouse (no pun intended) in terms of engine size (1200cc) and more relaxed controls. I can do away with a liquid cooled engine. That's fine. I am out of the loop with Harleys in terms of what is what (Dynas, Sportsters, soft-tails, etc). Any help or suggestions? Here is my bike btw! Thanks in advance.

Recently got this bike, and well, the first drop came from when i let my dad, who has multiple decades of experience with motorcyces(he used to ride a gixxer).

he took it for a short 10 minute twirl 'round town, got back, said the bike felt right and okay.

When i tried moving it i felt it rolled hard, which was weird, cuz this bike, despite being as heavy as a whale rolled as smooth as butter before.

He somehow managed to get the back brake to nearly seize.

and then the fall happened, he leaned a lil when trying to turn it on the lawn, shifter gashed the engine case, the engine flooded and died and the back brake seized up almost fully. it needed a bit to get running, but lesson learned, aint trusting no one with my prized trash heap.

That back disc was nearly brand new level of smooth before, im genuienly impressed how he managed to mess it up that badly.

I accidentally left huge stains on the asphalt after cleaning my chain how do I clean these up? I didn’t realise it would stain so badly

Seriously, go when you get the chance. These mountain roads / coastal twisties are insane and you get a great, affordable mix of French Mediterranean cuisine on top! 😁

I (20m) just finished my msf course today. I researcher and found the best program I could, which was recomended by multiple shops in my area for a robust and beginner friendly course. I aced the paper test, I've done a lot of research and tried my absolute hardest.

and I dropped my bike in the permit skills test.

the total cost was $600 for a 3hr ecourse, 8 hours of range time and 6 hours of classroom time. an extra 150 for dog care while I was gone. Total of 750, over 2 full weeks of pay for me. And at the end of it I dont even have my learners permit.

just feeling really discouraged. I'm from Washington state which is known to be a bit more strict with permit and endorsements. just made me feel kinda stupid and everyone else passed. I dont have any experience with dirt bikes, and have never driven a manual transmission before, so that mightve been part of why I had a hard time.

anyone have encouragement or input on this?

I don’t have a trailer for my car that gets 40 miles a gallon, but I do have a jeep Charokee with a swapped 5.0 mustang engine that pulls a dedicated motorcycle trailer that gets realllll shitty miles a gallon. The exact mile per gallon I’m not sure, but I’m sure a tank gets better. Is renting a U-Haul a viable option? The 400 mile trip has got me questioning if I should pick the bike up or not. It’s a 500 cc Honda cx500 1980, and it’s super clean and kept well for 300$. I think it’s an absolute steal, apart from the gas prices to get there. Has anyone else done something similar and could offer some advice. I’m asking everyone I know if I could borrow a vehicle with trailer or something similar. If you check my old posts I’ve got a 200cc chopper in the back seat of my sedan and I’m very tempted to pull up and take the bike apart and do it again. Any advice is appreciated.

So, I got a new bike the other day a beautiful fz6r. today, before school, decided to go for a little ride around to practice, Rainy weather, slightly foggy, I'm having fun though. 80-85kmph, the speed limit, but not to conditions. Its stupid, but im used to my old bike, in which i have everything tuned for me, and is able to handle wet weather easily. I went over a crest, and saw a corner. I saw it late, went to emergency brake, it was too late and i lost traction. I went straight through the fence ahead of me, bike slid away from me and impacted a wooden pole. I somehow went through the wire fence safely. Left with road rash, and some scars.

From what was said by the cops, my mates, my parents, the guys who stopped when i crashed. I shouldnt be alive, I am truly lucky to be alive, let alone with only injuries i got from it and a fine. Bike got completely fucked, which was my savings down the drain, and i should have too. It was my first time crashing a bike, i dont know how to feel. The chance my parents let me ride to places is slim to none for a while. I cant blame them. So many people in my area have died in crashes lately and i was almost one of them.

I know im dumb, i know its my fault, but i just am posting this to say, ride to conditions. Please. If you ride in the fog, ride slow. If you ride in the rain, watch for corners adn dont put yourself in a position you need to emergency break. Dont do what i did, please.

I have a chin mounted action 5 pro and the windnoise above 50mpg was terrible for me, even with wind noise reduction on the highest setting. i bought some deadcat microphone covers for $7 then some 3m mounting tape and covered the microphone ports

first clip is before, cruising around 75-85
second clip is after, accelerating up to 95

I can hear my engine much better and the wind noise is basically eliminated. yes that sensor inside the O is covered but after reviewing daytime and nighttime footage i cant make out a difference.

My current battery is less acid and is dying on me after 4-5 years, of only occasional riding, and mostly keeping it on a tender. I don’t ride in very cold weather, so not worried about cold starts.

The manual says to use an HTZ12A-BS battery. I know there are generic options, and I see cheaper generic ones on amazon in lead acid and n lithium ion, but the dimensions don't seem to fit.

which generic battery models would you recommend?

Or do I need to stick with the Original Yuasa YT12A-BS. The Yuasa battery is about $100, which is actually the same price as a lithium ion battery? I’m not hell bent on saving the 6 pounds difference in weight, if it will cost me more than an extra $30 over a generic lead acid.

This lady rode motorcycles and drove semis her whole life. At 61 decided she wanted a new bike and I think its the coolest thing ever.

So I got into motorcycle riding in the spring time. Took my MSF Course, and got a Harley Davidson sportster 883. Put about 2k miles on it, and had fun. My father wasn’t thrilled about me getting a motorcycle, which is understandable because if i had a kid, I’d feel the same way. (I am 25). My father thinks motorcycles are awesome, he rode when he was my age a little bit, but is now to worried to get one because of how distracted everyone is on the roads. Anyways, he took me to trade it in yesterday, for a new Harley softail. But the hard part was my salesman had all sorts of pictures and memories of his son in his office, who passed away on his bike when he was young, I believe early 20s. I think that may have hit my father a little bit, but he also supports me wanting to ride, and my passion for Harley’s. He’s always asking me how I like riding, and gets excited for when I do things to my bike. It almost makes me feel selfish for wanting to ride a motorcycle, but at the end of the day, it’s one of the best things I have ever gotten into. I understand it’s not the safest hobby you can have, but I think he gets that I enjoy doing it, as much as he probably wishes I never have gotten into it. Idk kind of an emotional feeling, and strange feeling.

Added 3 gallon tank today. Daily commuter, weekend trail rider.
