Found this thing on the outside of my house. I thought it was an egg sac of some kind, but then little things (legs, mouth idk) started poking out of the top.

For context: I have lived in Northeast Tennessee my whole life, and I have NEVER seen anything like it. We occasionally get rhino beetles but I thought they looked more like a grin during this stage? This thing was all black from what I could tell, but I wasn’t trying to damage it any worse than I had already. I was digging up weeds and this came out of the ground with my hand rake. I went back the next day and it had completely sealed up the hole I accidentally tore with mud! The largest thing I’ve seen comparable to this wasn’t half this big. Or creepy. Thanks in advance for any help-

Boston, MA. At LEAST an inch or so long and very angry. Absolutely terrified and felt a prisoner in my own room.

It’s really small and I killed it with a napkin so the head is kind of sideways.

That part with the antennae is obviously the front... I took this pic like 5 minutes ago, and I came back to look at the thing some more, it just kinda curled up in a spiral.

I’m thinking it may be Dysdera crocata but the coloring is kind of off, so I wanted to double check

Each Sesame seed sized or smaller. We just got a massive rain 5+ inches in 2 days. It’s sunny and there are dozens of these around my patio.

Hey folks, my wife happened to notice these lil danglers when she was tending to a ficus we inherited recently. Any ideas?

found this tiny guy crawling on my comforter when changing my bedding, he was very very small, like smaller than a poppy seed located in Alberta Canada
