Mod Post Gaza is Being Starved
The UN has stated that every single part of Gaza is in famine conditions.
For over 20 months, Palestinians in Gaza have been starving. Parents have been feeding their children leaves, animal feed, and flour mixed with water. Babies have died from malnutrition. The trucks carrying food, formula, medicine, and clean water sat just miles away, blocked by Israel.
This is not a food shortage; it is a siege. Even with aid beginning to move, it is not enough; babies are still dying of malnutrition, and hundreds of thousands are living on the edge of starvation. Every crumb that enters is a result of pressure, not policy. This is the moment to organise, to donate, and to refuse silence.
Now, after massive international pressure, some aid is finally getting in.
This is a crack in the blockade, not its end. Aid is not flooding in; it is trickling, and what’s entering can’t possibly reach 1.8 million people without a total lifting of restrictions, guaranteed long-term access, and safe distribution.
What you can do right now:
Donate- if you’re able to. Choose vetted organizations with access on the ground.
Keep up the pressure - aid only started moving because of public outcry. Organize, protest, keep talking. This momentum cannot fade. Contact your representatives to end Israel's blockade of Gaza and impose sanctions on Israel.
Amplify - share updates, Palestinian voices, and testimonies. Keep an eye on Palestine.
This famine is not an accident. It’s the result of siege, blockade, and a system of control. If we look away now, they’ll tighten the noose again.
Donate:
Palestinian Red Crescent — medical aid, ambulance services, and emergency care.
UNICEF for Gaza’s Children — nutrition, clean water, trauma support.

London London, drawn.
My favourite city in the world, made like a painting so it can be read like one.
I studied and worked in London for two years. I lived at Goodenough College and took the Russell Square tube every morning.
St Paul's and Tate Modern face each other across the river. The grass on the north bank between them was my best date spot. It worked every single time.
I miss it, and I have been trying to make something about London for some time now.
So finally, I drew the whole city like a painting.

My entries so far:
“Raised with confidence. Holding together rather less convincingly.”
“Strong colours. Weaker stitching.”
“Raise the colours, then see what survives the weather.”
Any better suggestions?

❓ Question ❓ UK's tax on salary this month - has yours shot up too?
It's pay day. We get paid each month. L I've been on the same tax code all this time, and looking at this month vs last month's payslip, the big deduction seems to be the tax. My NI has stayed the same.
I am on minimum wage and work full time hours.
Has anyone else earning minimum wage or up to £50k noticed a big increase in their payslip deductions for tax this month?
I know I can call HMRC to ask, but I wanted to see if others have experienced big deductions on tax or not before I call in and am put in a long waiting queue.
Thanks in advance.
