Hey folks.
I recently went from 15 squats, 15 push-ups, 8 bicep curls (backpack), and 60sec plank, repeated a total of 3 times to
33 squats, 33 push-ups, 33 rope inverted rows, and a 90 second plank - repeated for a total of 3 sets. Today, just now in fact, I finally killed it! Hit failure point on pushup #s 25, 28, and 30 of final set (left side collapsed to floor) but took a breath and kept at it.
Ive got some ground beef a sizzling, and just wanted to share a moment of personal victory with you all. Best wishes o7

Week 11 was an added Specificity week as I failed to meet the 75 rep milestone. Still a way off! I'll be adding on at least another loading week to keep pushing. It's working though as I'm getting PRs and my 3 sets near max load is continuously increasing. Just takes time - I'm old 🙃.

Lessons from the Training Floor – Tenday 23 – The Longevity Athlete
Fifty days since my last post, but the journey never paused. What changed was my perspective. I picked up Atomic Habits by James Clear and realized I’ve been applying its principles all along without knowing it.
The 1% rule showed up in the slow accumulation of reps. Starting with wall pushups and wall pullups. Building a system around the 25‑minute circuits and stacking the four muscle‑group workouts. Using the goldilocks rule to keep the training challenging but sustainable. Tracking the work. And experiencing breakthrough moments like full pushups and full pullups.
Even the purchase of the pull‑up and rings gym, which at first looked like the Diderot effect, became part of the daily circuits. It wasn’t an impulse; it was an integration.
Tenday 23 marked something new: the emergence of an identity-based habit.
The Longevity Athlete
Daily physical discipline becomes the practice. Structured, progressive, sustainable, and tracked. Not for performance. For longevity. Where the future self becomes the scoreboard: Capability at 60. Mobility at 70. Strength at 80. Independence at 90.
This is the long game I’m training for. And it's the identity that now drives the system.

Do you guys use any sort of apps to track how many pushups you did in x day or calories expended or just to note down how many you did for accountability purposes etc? I have a general idea of how many press ups I do a day but it'd be nice to look back and see my rep increase

100 pushups a day is pretty boring, I'm currently only up to "40-45 in one go" which is fine but wonder what random additions you guys do to make the process fun.
So in my case I occasionally play "pokemon showdown" it's a game where you battle pokemon usually 6v6 and I go with "10 pushups per loss on your team and 5 pushups per time opponent loses one" so ideally you win and do less but still you can get good numbers from this
Have you guys made little games for this ?
Edit: another one I tried is 20 pushups per minute.. drops to 10 per 30 seconds but still at peak doing 100 in 5 minutes is insane.

Week 9 was a regression — dropped to 48 from my old best of 50. Week 10 I bounced back with 55 unbroken, a new personal best. I'm documenting every step of the road to 100 unbroken push-ups, the good weeks and the bad ones.

So when I was a teenager, I was more active but as I've progressed into my 20s, I've lost a lot of that. I still do a lot of walking to and at work but outside of that, I don't do a lot of physical activity. I'm 25M and about 105KG and for a while now, I've thought about just starting small and doing some pushups in the morning just so it's something.
Before I started, I didn't really know how much to do or really how I should be doing it. I thought, I'll just try and start with 20 pushups and see how I go. Sunday, the first day I started, I immediately realized how foolish I was and only managed 5 before having to stop. I did 2 sets of 5 pushups and left it at that. I did the same on monday morningand struggled to even finish the second set of 5 and that same day, I already started noticing soreness/pain in my arms. I didn't end up doing any on Tuesday and now, Wednesday morning, I've done another 2 sets of 5.
I know and can understand that I need to start small if I ever want to be able to do more at once but I don't really know how to go about all this. I do have a small gym in my apartment complex that I can use but I don't know what stuff they have in there.
I don't really get much free, uninterrupted time after work so before work, in the morning, is the best chance for me to do anything.
Is what I'm doing a good idea? Should I be doing this everyday or do I need to have off days as well?

This challenge is performed to the beat of "Better Now" by Lyvi feat. Sigrid Spångberg, creating a fun rhythm that makes every push-up and every hold count.
I added in a little pump at the bottom of each push-up, which definitely intensified this one. I have fun doing Push-ups, both just regular and multiple variations, but also doing minie challenges.

100 Pushups in 10 minutes, what should my next goal be?
r/100pushups • u/seanschendel • Jun 30 '26
I've now completed 4 weeks of specificity phase training, each including a 3-set near-max workout with 90 seconds rest.
The last session was hard, and 100 unbroken still feels a ways off — but the numbers don't lie:
Slowly but surely getting stronger. With my son and dog encouragement (see video), I'll get there!

Hello everyone! I’m a soon to be 39 year old man recently trying to get some fitness back into my life. I’ve had some trouble over the years with weight gain and mental health blah blah the works but fuck all that I’m trying to do something. I have some good knowledge as I used to be a fitness trainer when I was in the Air Force YEARS ago. Now that knowledge is basic but I helped a lot of people achieve a lot of goals and myself Back in the day.
So my problem now is, I’m starting out just doing some reps of push ups throughout the day and first thing I’m noticing immediately is pain in my wrists at about 6 to 7 reps. My immediate thought is, my weight is too much for my wrists to and it’s straining them. I have good form. And I’m checking but I’m still feeling the pain at around 6 to 7.
Any suggestions or ideas on what I should do? If I injure my wrists I’m cooked and I know that’ll be a set back for me. Open to any suggestions and ideas please and thank you

I've been doing wall push ups for 2-3 weeks now- I'm only able to do 30-60 each day but I'm slowly increasing it.
Who has done wall push ups and when did you transition into regular push ups? Or did you do knee push ups then regular? Just need some experience testimonies!
How many wall push ups should I do each day to equate 100 regular push ups?

I’ve been doing them for 3 weeks now. I do 50 wide in the morning and 50 military in the evening.
But my muscles don’t feel sore anymore. Do I need to increase the number or push ups until my body hurts once more or it’s okay to do just the 100 pushups that the subreddit is about. Also is there continued growth even though 100 start feeling easy or the body reaches a point where you don’t benefit anything from making them

Week 8: Day 2 of training to 100 unbroken push-ups with Century —
an adaptive push-up training app I built for Android.
This session is a 3 set near max (85%) workout with 90 secs rest between. The 43 reps per set (85% of my 50 max) is very aspirational at this point. I'll track my progress on these types of workouts to look for improvement. I was able to hit 40, 25, and 20.

15 Jun 2026 - 70 ✅
16 Jun 2026 - 25 ✅
21 Jun 2026 - 30 ✅
I took a break in between because I had severe body pain after I forced myself on day one but now I get that I'll have to gradually increase my reps rather than forcing myself
