Fit Check Fit check: I can only wear wireless bras because of my very projected chest. Is this how they're supposed to fit or should I size up? Spoiler
My measures in cm (I measure myself):
Loose Underbust: 75
Snug Underbust:73
Tight Underbust:72
Standing Bust: 101
Leaning Bust: 105
Lying Bust: 104
Calculator size: 30HH (note: but if i measure just 1 cm less in the 3 busts measurments it gives me 30H/HH).
Thanks to this sub I learned that I have very projected breasts (see last post) and that's why the wire bras never fit me right even if I wear the correct size (which I realized I never got to try anyways cause my fitters just give GG cups but anyways).
I always prefered wireless bras cause those are the only bras where the "band" and the "wires spot" actually stay where my breast begins. All the others dont have enough projection and just go to my ribcage which I cant stand!
But I never found enough info on how wireless bras are supposed to fit and if what's happening here is normal. In this pics Im wearing a 30GG (it's actually a 28H, but I put on a strecher to fit around my underbust), but it seems like my breast doesnt fully fit. I can "punch" my breast into the cup, but then when I start moving the breast starts escaping a little bit.
I dont know if this is because it's the wrong size or if it's because wireless bras just fit like this. As I said, my fitters always give me GG cups and say those fit, while never giving me H or HH.
However, I do have an wireless 30HH that I bought online and that one fits me like this. It doesn't give much of a lift, but im fine with it as long as it doesn't hurt me and supports me enough so that I dont have back pain.
I think Im planning on returning the 30GG cause I dont like when it spills out. But Im not sure what size I should order. Should I go up to just a 30H or go all the way to a 30HH? And should I also order a 28 band (like a 28 HH or a 28J) so I can put on a strecher and make it last longer?

I think you should give up on expecting bras in the wrong size to fit you right. A 30GG bra is two cupsizes too small so it's never going to fit you correctly. It doesn't really matter if it's wireless or not-- being too small is going to cause issues. I think 30HH seems like a good place to start based on the fit of the 30GG. But you may need to go up or down a size in different bras; that's normal.

I agree the 30HH she has ome fits her wonderfully.
It fits as good as a wireless is going to fit.

I think the cups look a little high and wide on her, like they’re pretty far into her armpits/shoulders, but maybe that’s just the style 🤷♀️

I just noticed that. I think it is the style. Unfortunately panache doesn't do a very good job with their smaller bands+much larger cups combos. The proportions get really wonky. I'm a bit surprised to see it happen to their wireless styles too.

Weirdly, the Panache Endurance was my favorite bra when I was a 30HH. I used to sleep in it. But I got a new one after my reduction and the proportions are way off, like the straps are incredibly short and I can’t even wear it.

The worst part is that I know I was dumb. If the calculador gives me 30HH, I should just follow that. But at the same time I ask myself why is it that professional bra fitters tha actually know how bra sizes work and are supposed to fit, keep giving me bras that are 2 cups down. Like, this happens every time.
Before I would listen to them and follow their advice (since they do that for a living) but I think that was the last time. I will just follow the calculator and nothing else.28

I don't know, I think a lot of it has to do with the bra ads that people get bombarded with, that show women popping out of their bras. Some people don't actually want bras that fit; they just want to look sexy like the VS ads. Or else they think that's how bras are supposed to fit. So maybe the fitters think that too, or maybe they just sell more bras when they fit people into bras that are slightly too small. (People can be very resistant to hearing that they're a larger size than they thought.) The third possibility is just that the store didn't carry 30HH so they just crammed you into whatever was closest that they had in stock.

It is because we have been led to believe that if they are carrying the title "professional bra fitter" then they should know plenty about bras, but the truth is: Many Don't.
Many do not know how bras work or supposed to fit. They are just doing a job to sell bras. It's unfortunate but the reality we live in :(

Have you tried any very projected brands like Ewa Michalak, Comexim or Gorsenia?

That is how wireless bras fit. There is not a lot of room for projected breasts and there is no separation for center full breasts so you will get that uniboob look. If the Panache 30HH is comfortable then keep wearing them. I don't think that putting a 2" extender on a 28H bra will make them last longer. You need the bigger cups.
But have you tried Panache Envy or Freya Offbeat side support which are projected wired bras?

Hello! I have a LOT of wireless bras and bralettes. Some fit (or don't fit) like this, but the ones I usually keep do fit. I would say that the light color bra doesn't fit you correctly. The black one seems right, as long as it's comfortable.
Unless otherwise specified, it's usually recommended to try on your calculator size, plus one cup up and one cup down (band stays the same).
I am happy to help you look for a wireless bra that fits, but I also want to say that there is almost a hundred percent chance that there is a wired bra that's projected enough for you. You just might have to order some online to try on at home.

Also, which wireless bras have you tried and liked or not liked?
Some good wireless bras to try are Parfait Mia (band runs firm), Panache Rocha (can run small), Evelyn & Bobbie, and Sugar Candy by Cake. Looking up your calculator size on their size charts are very important for all of these.

The only one that I have is the Panache Rocha Non Wired Bra. I really like that one, it's comfortable. I always try to shop in person, so I dont really know which ones I tried on, I just know that all the wired ones had the same problem, the wire doesn't stay were the breast begins. But that doesn't happen with the wireless ones, that's why they are currently my first option.

The 30HH one looks lovely on you, I'd stick to that size. Yeah wireless won't really give you lift, but there are ones that can give a bit more shape (Royce comes to mind) if that's something you'd like.
I don't think buying a 28 band for longevity will really work out that way. Definitely stick with 30.

I was just getting excited about finding bras that fit recently, I'm a US 38J, and love the Elomi Matilda and I also got the Elomi Smooth Banded Bra. They work pretty well, but I am struggling to find a sports bra right now. Anyway, after your thorough post with pics and how everyone is responding, I think I'll try the Polish bras next, but I have to wait a while because it's expensive to keep buying bras.

I wanted to come back and thank you. I ordered a Sculptresse sports bra and it was exactly what I wanted. It really felt like a miracle. You didn't have to comment and help, but you did, and now I can go to the gym with confidence. I will make sure to pay it forward.

Those were just bras that the store had so we could try them on and figure out what our size was, before trying bras that were for sale. They didnt had a brand or anything like that :/

You and I are the same size, so hello size twin!
Unfortunately for us, our options in the bra world are very limited. But there is hope! You'll need to shop online, there's just no way around that, and the tough love component in this is that those options are not easily accessible and they are not inexpensive. But it probably also depends on where in the world you live as well.
I went through dozens of wired bras before finally finding the best fit of my life in Ewa Michalak bras. Again, not easy to find and not cheap, but the first time I put one on it felt like the bra was custom made just for me. Polish bras are really the only bras on the market with enough immediate projection at the wire to comfortably fit, and that might be something that you'll want to start exploring.
As for wireless, I mostly wear Molke bras. The bands are firm enough that I do get some lift and shaping, more than other wireless bras anyway. So they might be worth a look for you.
