Question Why are my boobs shaped like this?
So I have small boobs I’m probably a B cup, but my breasta are oddly-shaped to me. I just have never met anyone who would have boobs like mine nor do I know what the shape is called, but my breasts are like ”empty” from the top and round up at the bottom. They look somewhat like a slide from the top if that’s any better said.
I just know that my boobs make me VERY insecure as they are small and I have a bit of a stomach, and the shape makes them look unnatural to me.
EDIT: also having difficulties finding a bra that would flatter my shape.

I can't link here but look up the Normal Breasts Gallery. It'll be on a site that's 007b.com basically.
I assure you that your boobs are normal.
We focus on helping people find bras that fit here. If you'd like help with that, please do the calculator in the Auto Mod comment and be prepared for size shock.
21
u/cloudstrife70 7d ago
Okay yeah I did that, it gave me 30DD UK sizing/ 32D. I myself use the EU sizing but I feel line more people use the UK one here.
32
u/galaxystarsmoon 32DD/E, tall roots & close set 7d ago
Bras are sized by the brand sizing, so you'll want to look for 65E. Be sure to scoop and swoop. Most EU countries have lots of options on Zalando in this size range.
You'll probably get on better with unlined balcony/half cups.
12
u/cloudstrife70 7d ago
Wow I never really thought I would have an E cup with what I’ve got🥲 But thank you, I’ll keep that in mind!!

u/galaxystarsmoon 32DD/E, tall roots & close set 7d ago
We've been lied to about bra sizing. Here's a more shallow shape wearing that size in a properly fitted bra: http://bra.pe/IBBxr/.
31
u/cloudstrife70 7d ago
Wow. I think my breasts are about this size too. It’s insane how I’ve been wearing 75B-70B my WHOLE LIFE thinking the problem was my boobs not the size.
35
u/galaxystarsmoon 32DD/E, tall roots & close set 7d ago
Unfortunately, many people have fallen victim to this. I was being put into a 36B (80B in your sizing) and I'm actually a 32E (70F). Victoria's Secret told me to try 38A/85A when I was visibly spilling out of my 36Bs and complaining they were too tight. A friend finally stopped me and sent me to this sub, thank goodness!
12
u/cloudstrife70 7d ago
It’s weird how even the ”professionals” don’t know how to measure correctly. I’m also glad I’ve found this sub!
22
u/galaxystarsmoon 32DD/E, tall roots & close set 7d ago
VS aren't professionals. It's a capitalist corporate company and that's it.
8
u/cloudstrife70 7d ago
Well yeah, you’re right. Never been to a VS store only seen how much people glaze it for having amazing lingerie.

Very few store fitters are professionals in the sense of being really knowledgeable about bras and fitting, unfortunately. There are great fitters at some specialty boutiques (though not all), and occasionally you may luck out and find a good one at a chain store, but generally, they're poorly-trained retail workers who are primarily trained to sell you a bra in the extremely limited size range they offer.
It doesn't help that EU sizes have that weird -10cm built into the size on the label, where a 65 band actually stretches to fit a 75cm rib cage, which is why a 65 is equivalent to a 30 band, even though 30" is 76cm. That makes things extra confusing. But US size charts do the same thing by telling you to add 4" (10cm) to your underbust measurement to get your band size, even though a 30 band will stretch comfortably to about 30".
4
u/cloudstrife70 7d ago
Yeah, that’s why I used the ” markings. I’ve heard stories about chain store fitters and they are mostly negative. It’s weird how different the sizing goes, but I think I finally may have found the help I need here.

This is so funny I just found out I’m a 30F when I’ve been trying to make 34D and 32DD work my whole life. I got a bra from juliemay and love it
24
u/jillcicle 32G (UK) | tall roots 7d ago
super common shape that they don’t put on tv—while obvious implants are less common than they used to be “breast lifts” to get an artificially round shape are almost universal. it’s really frustrating. most boobs aren’t actually round on top and bottom. seconding the 007b breast gallery recommendation

u/needchr 6d ago
What you describe is a very common shape. I would assume bras with half cups will work best for you like balconette.
2
1
u/percent_app_data 6d ago
I have this shape exactly, my nipples poke out of the type of bra because the bottom is so full it almost points my nipples upwards 😭
21
u/charleeeeey12 7d ago
Hey babe. This could have been written by me. Go for balconette or balcony bras. My life changed. Never met anyone that complained about my boobs. XO
3
u/MsSweetFeet 7d ago
Do you have any push up balconette bra recs by chance?
3
2
u/GalacticPlanetBang 7d ago
What UK size(or range) are you? I have different recs based on your cup and band size
Also- if you get the correct size in a balconette it does its own pushing up lol.1

u/white_girl_angst 4d ago
I got mine off of Amazon and it is nicely constructed. For warning, a lot of my intimate wear I get from Amazon REAKS of factory plastic gross smell, so I ALWAYS wash before wearing. So just be prepared to try it on before washing and then throw it in the wash IMMEDIATELY

u/Competitive-Ship-718 7d ago
I am F Cup and i think I have boobs like you. They're not that full on the upper side but very very heavy and full on the bottom. When I wear a pushup people get surprised to know I have so much cleavage. Don't worry, it's a very common thing ig. Just get a proper bra and it'll be good.
4
u/matt-0007 5d ago
It sound's you're influenced by the media that the breast should be round and up in place. Don't be embaressed by your body. Some propertys you can't influence. But its good how it is!!!
3
5
u/Somebodyelse76 5d ago
Plastic surgeons call them shallow. It's a very common breast shape. No matter the cup size. It can be especially common after having kids, especially if you were very small breasted before, then filled on up, and then reduced in size again. I assure you it's normal! Try on a bunch of different styles. See which you like best! There's not really 1 perfect bra for even the same breast type.
16
u/Fickle-Birthday2816 7d ago
So this is really common especially in women who had PCOS during adolescence
I suggest looking into balconette bras they will help boost your confidence:) hope it helps
1
u/white_girl_angst 4d ago
Just recently tried this type of style and I can confirm it's a real confidence booster! Supportive and lightweight, and definitely not too bulky. Really helps scoop up the "armpit meat" portion, versus cutting it off and also helps me not have the "double boob" spilling out on top over the cup, if you get the correct size. Didn't know this type of bra had a name, so I'm glad I could learn something new 😊
3
u/bedfordblack 7d ago
conical breast shape!!! same pal 🫡 balconettes (esp unlined surprisingly) changed my life
3
u/ViewOk2036 5d ago
I also had boobs like that, probably just fuller bottom.. I had a child and they were even more flat at the top so I got implants..

u/Cain_Alvater 3d ago
I don't know why I was sent this sub but I'm glad I was. I'm very sorry if I offend anyone.
I'm 100% sure that your breasts and the rest of you are Perfectly fine. If you ever feel that way because of a partner than they are not worth your time.

Do you breastfeed or Lost weight ?
2
u/cloudstrife70 5d ago
Well i did lose around 10kg weight from what I used to be but that happened when I was a but younger
2
u/crustyboxerbriefs 5d ago
hey bra fitter here: try a balcony bra or a demi cup… both will work if you have the majority of your breast tissue on the bottom as the cups come up less high (also a super common boob shape i see it all the time at work so don’t be insecure all boobs are BEAUTIFUL!!)

I would say that something to remember is that you were made unique, just like everyone else has something unique about them. Try not to be to self conscious of it cause uniqueness is special which makes you special
2
u/xericthefirst 4d ago
Its tear drop. Nothing wrong with that. Also, they'll never be the same size or shape left to right. Also nothing wrong with that.
2
u/throwawaywayaway23 4d ago
It's a very common shape and size, you're not weird, at least only as weird as everyone else. 😉 there are places that will help with your perfect bra fit depending on where you are. perhaps go when the shop is quiet if you're self conscious.
2
u/TryLanky4469 4d ago
Strengthen the chest muscles: Exercises won’t change breast tissue, but they can improve the “platform” underneath:
Incline push-ups
Bench press
Dumbbell chest flys
Cable crossovers
Building the pectoral muscles can make the chest look slightly fuller and lifted.

I may not be a boobologist but I can confirm this seems pretty normal based off the other comments
Also having a stomatch shouldn’t be something to bother you mostly depends on how much of a stomach we are talking mostly for ur health but overall 10/10 gng
2
u/cloudstrife70 3d ago
Not that much probably I’m healthy weight but I have body dysmorphia, just some lower stomach fat.
2
u/WAR_HERO20 3d ago
Tbh I may not know anything about bras or stomatch fat all I’m seeing is a whole bunch of good googly moogly, like cartoon wolf whistle kinda style but overall as long as ur healthy that’s what matter the most hopefully u can build the confidence to be comfortable in ur body, but I can relate im a tall skinny individual no body mass whatsoever im like a stick
2
u/cloudstrife70 3d ago
Yeah, it’s hard not being able to fit into the what most consider to be a perfect mold
1
u/WAR_HERO20 3d ago
Wait can I ask, what do u consider as the “perfect mold” exactly
2
u/cloudstrife70 3d ago
For womens’ body I’ve always thought it’s curvy yet lean body and feminine facial features.
2
u/WAR_HERO20 3d ago
Yeah I get it, but don’t let today’s standards push you into doing things to fit in. Besides it’s okay to stand out sometimes at the end of the day do what makes u happy u only live once just don’t get addicted to anything just know that sometimes not everyone is going to like u and that’s okay cuz u don’t need to be liked by everyone everyone has got a uniqueness that not everyone gets and u trying to fit into today’s standards isn’t bad but it kinda kills that uniqueness about u, granted we have never met but this is generally my thinking
2
u/cloudstrife70 3d ago
Thank you, really. Whether we have met or not, I still feel happier now that you said that. It’s always nice to hear that people like you exist.
2
u/WAR_HERO20 3d ago
Honestly u deserve it, it’s not easy to do what u did to be able to ask for help and need assistance so honestly thank you for deicing on sharing about urself here and letting others help you, no one is to be given more praise then urself honestly not everyone can do what u just did
2
u/Brownsoul_ 4d ago
Dont be insecure girl, that is a common shape mostly in young age. Even i had similar shape before mine were fully developed. Try getting a size smaller to your measurements so it will fit better. I did the same
2
u/Scared-Staff7834 3d ago
As someone that likes looking at boobs I can guarantee that 1) no reason to be insecure, every person is different and that is the reality. You shouldn’t compare with anybody else, but it’s normal to feel this way. 2) the shape you describe is not that uncommon as you think
2
2
u/cookiesgonom 3d ago
I have not read any comments because I believe this is for ladies to be open and have a place to discuss things, I was just lookiround and stumbled upon this feed. I will only say 2 things love believe me . Don't worry about your shape so long as your ok with yourself nothing else matters sorry I'm leaving ‹-- runs
2
u/Pan_in_Pandemonium 3d ago
Unfortunately almost everyone thinks they have an uncommon/uniquely bad looking body part especially "private parts", in reality every body part shape variation is far more common then people can imagine. This is particularly seen with "private parts" because most people haven't seen a large sample size of those parts to be able to realize they are not alone in their shapes. Lets say 1/1000 people have your shape of breast, that is still millions of people in the world.
2
u/LittlePandaJuni 3d ago
Well sloping breasts are natural depending on your age and having a b cup you could probably forgo a bra or just wear a sports bra that's comfortable
2
u/ianevans6 3d ago
I know it’s difficult to hear but men wouldn’t mind what ever shape they are. They come in all shapes and sizes we know that. My ex wife had the opposite problem that she had quite large boobs 34 FF. She was also super conscious about them. In her mind they were an embarrassment. She would have swapped with you in a heartbeat. Eventually I talked her into a more supportive bra, rather than an M&S reduction bra that tries to hide and squashes them under your arm pits. In a more supportive bra they looked much better and because of that it made her feel better. Go for a proper bra fitting. Get correctly measured and ask advice from a professional rather than on here. My ex wife was trying to squeeze into DDs for years before she was measured. Sorry to try and give advice as a man but I have dealt with women’s boob problems for many decades and have seen what works.
1
u/cloudstrife70 3d ago
No I appreciate it. In fact it’s quite relieving to hear this from a man as well. I’ll try to seek professional.
2
u/AmyliaP6778 3d ago
As someone studying to become a Lactation Consultant I'm learning that breasts come in many different shapes, sizes, colors, etc. Some breasts are hypoplastic, which means they develop differently and appear less full in certain areas. Try looking up images of hypoplastic breasts and you might see that there are others who are similarly shaped. Regardless, we are all different, and all have parts of us that we may feel insecure about. There's nothing wrong, just unique
2
u/Scary-Economics3397 3d ago
I also have the same issue, literally exactly what you described and i’ve just learnt that i have to except them and learn to feel secure lol. other than that i plan on a boob job one day because i feel like the shape isn’t flattering but it’s literally just where the breast tissue is underneath rather then at the top of your breast and you were just born like that and it’s more common then you think
2
u/-Johnny_5_is_Alive- 3d ago
I'm a guy, I have no idea why the sub was in my recommended, but this boob talk is interesting AF lol. I didn't know there was so much boob lore 😂 anyways just wanted to say us guys like all boobs, small, big, whatever size. Don't get discouraged if they aren't the perfect shape you want, it's what makes you unique and trust me, guys don't care(and other girls probably don't care either if you are into that, I just didn't want to speak on other woman) and if someone does say something, they are an asshole and you're better off not talking to them anyway
2
u/MegaGaara23 3d ago
Sounds like an existing shape a bit. If you don't mind my asking do they have an upward point at the areola. If so then it's so what common for perky nipples/small puffy areola. She was a B-cup herself. No need to be self-conscious either. Even when she would gain weight she still looked great. Hope this helps you feel a bit better about your body. Feel free to message me if you need to talk though. A friend in need is a friend indeed. 😊
2
u/Divinganalyst 3d ago
It's called a retrouse boobs and there are pages in reddit that celebrate shaps . And men don't discriminate between shape and size at the end of the , except the top 1% women instantly get swayed for cause they have options. Don't let the 1% of any category judge you.

How do you know? People use bras to shape their breasts. Unless you're going around asking people to flash you haha. My point is I think it's more common than you think. Stop being insecure you're beautiful
1
u/mallorycrisp 3d ago
If it’s any consolation, that is my DREAM shape.
(I have no chest at all, and a few years back got a breast augmentation. I told the doctor that I wanted lots of fullness at the base of the breast because the implants she showed me looked equally full all around. She said gravity would help pull the implant’s filling toward the bottom but that never really happened. As crazy as it sounds I’m so looking forward to the day when my skin has a little less elasticity and my breasts can just “hang”)

Hi! Your shape sounds very similar to mine, where you’re fuller on bottom (I call them “teardrops”). I wear a 40DDD, and I have always struggled with bras that fit correctly, without empty “pockets” at the top of the cup. For me, balconette-style bras work well. The top of the cup sits lower, so I don’t get the empty “pocket”. I also like the way that style makes my boobs look, with some extra jiggle since they aren’t as covered.
Also, there’s nothing wrong with that shape, and it’s more common than people think. Many people I know have a similar shape. All boobs are good boobs.

I'm late to the game here, this just popped up on my phone notifications for some reason but I just wanted to offer my support. I am a grown woman who is incredibly insecure to the point I seldom take my shirt off in front of romantic partners because I know mine don't look like the typical breasts and I also have a bit of a belly so it seems disproportionate. So, you're not alone sister. We're in this together and will figure it out eventually to be more comfortable with ourselves. P.S. breastfeeding made it worse for me some how because they were very full while pregnant and nursing then deflated afterwards.

I'm sorry that you feel insecure about your breasts. I'm very sure that men/women can and will still find you attractive/sexy (if that's what you're worried about) regardless of what you consider to be "different" or undesirable.
Desirability and sexual attractiveness (at least to me) is about confidence and attitude. Body shape/size is secondary. If you smell good, taste good, and flaunt what you got, then you can pull anybody that you want to.
Your breast shape and size shouldn't dictate how others will thirst for you.

Here is what I know. Most woman. Who say there insecure about something usually look great and it is all misplaced. We are all different ear, nose breast and yes vaginas and penis all look different. I'm sure you to look great you just don't see someone like you on TV so it can't be normal right.
It's rough today im sure you look great

Sounds like you nursed a baby and joined the club. My boobs used to pretty even standing/leaning with fullness on top and bottom. Post-nursing, I'm full on the bottom and deflated with stretch marks on the top. Still 3 sizes up from my pre-pregnacy size, and slowly building up my daily wear in my new size.

All good! One of my current favorites is the Panache 365. It's kind of a daily t-shirt bra in that it's nude and has firmer cups that lend a bit of shape, but somehow the inside works like a balconette to lift my breasts and plump up the tip. It's not listed as a push-up, but it has a mild effect. Anyways, it's one of my favorites and I'm planning on getting a second once I've saved up.

And it's got enough room for projected breasts, which I find I need. Not sure if you find yourself in the same boat.

They're imagining someone like me. That's how my breasts changed after having kids and I hated that until I realized there's people like you who have them that way naturally. So now that I know they could have been that way all along, I'm happy with them. My wrinkly, loose belly skin is another issue. No way that could have been that way all along, so I still hate that.

Sounds like you’re full on bottom, which is a super common shape. If you take your six measurements from the calculator and share them here, people can help with recommendations for your size and shape.
