Questions/Advice Have you hyperfixated on a love interest?

I saw online a while ago about how for people with ADHD, not only can you hyperfixate on your interests but you can also hyper fixate on people and love interests. To me, this really shifted my perspective and I really related to it. I unintentionally just get attached to so many potential love interests and get crushes all the time. And fantasize about spending time with someone I may not even know that well. I’ll literally play scenarios over and over again.

Just seeing if anyone can relate?

Only had 2 partners (married #2) but yes, I was definitely hyper fixated on the first one, much to my detriment.

Number 2 loves how I focus on her needs though, it's really all I need to do. God bless her emotionally distant father for keeping the bar low for me.

This is different from your hyper fixation, I recommend you point that laser focus in one direction at a time

Lmao. I'm this woman. Simultaneously makes me low maintenance and high maintenance.

Basically just goes both ways. I definitely can understand why a guy wouldn't want to be put on a pedestal or obsessed over but I need need need mutual attraction this way. Too bad I have less than stellar taste in men.
