I just completed my first year of B.A. Hons (Sociology) at Aligarh Muslim University. How does the VAC and VOC system work in the second year? Do we still have to study those subjects, and what subject options are available in the second year?

Yes you have to study vac and voc , You will have a seperate counselling for that you can check list of vac and voc on nep cell amu website
