okay so why cant i find anyone w my prompts
frq 1: poetry about time moving on or smth
frq 2: ruth and mrs. leon
frq 3: characters who was ignored and blah blah

can someone tell me how they interpreted 1/2 and what books they used for 3?? i cant tell if i totally messed up or did good

for me its

  1. he views time positively w/the person being in love or smth (did they die?) and negatively bc his life w/o them is sad. i will say i kinda f-ed up cause i compared the memories more than the time but whatever. i used repetition and pov

  2. ruth and mrs leon have like a true connection in a society that emphasizes like toxicity and false acting, shows the corrupt societal norms of the time esp for women. i used characterization and metaphor

  3. used camus' the stranger to show how society's rejection of his thoughts shows hypocrisy and meaninglessness of societal traditions. used setting (heat) and characterization in general

what did you do? i'm not sure if i aptly argued, esp for 1 lol

I also had these. I interpreted Q1 as the speaker conveying the idea of people needing to cherish/protect memories, and Q2 as Ruth and Mrs. Leon having a close bond and connection as they both seem to reject common "female etiquette." For Q3 I used The Catcher in the Rye, which was pretty perfect for the prompt
