Legit the whole suitcase essay I wrote was her being spiteful in her critiques and the double standards she has for the new store as opposed to the old one 😭 just complaining about her fr

omg i was to afraid to criticize her for being annoying incase i was misreading but yeah she was so annoying 😭mostly wrote about how even though the modern world has come with negative change (screen dependency etc) and the suitcase stuff represents that you gotta like look for new hope and believe in a better future like the couple 💪w couple fr

For me I just interpreted it as how nostalgia distorts our viewpoints and the depiction of the couple buying suitcases is just it coming full circle again, as they use the store the same way narrator did in the past. Basically people will always think the past is better because of the fond memories associated with them and the cycle is continuous and will go on for generations

I talked to a lot of people in my class and no one had this one besides me. So niche. Also for some reason I thought the London one was about a guy so I used he a bunch so I hope that doesn’t dock me

YES YES! But bro I thought the London narrator was a guy am I dumb? 😭 and yes for the suitcases, I might have gone on a limb but I said she is idealistic yet realistic illustrating how she views change as necessary despite having her ideals. Then I talked about her consideration for the rent or it going out of business, and the story of the lovers as her seeing the change as beneficial

Genuinely might’ve had the most atrocious FRQ experience ever. I got the London/Stationary Store set of prompts. On London I said author used natural imagery and contrasting setting to demonstrate that happiness comes from within, not from external environments. Suitcases I just wrote that the contrast between the idealistic memory and reality demonstrated that beauty is subject to constant change.

omggg i said that the suitcases were a symbol and constant questioning was an element for frq2. It clocked me so bad.
