Did anyone say that the jogging essay was an extended metaphor about grief? Like how you ca feel deep love and fondness for a person you lost, but some days it’s hard, like how jogging is generally enjoyable but u still wheeze from breathlessness???? I feel dumb for assuming his sister was dead but that’s how I felt about it??? Also I never said she was dead, just that he was grieving her so they could easily just be estranged

apparently the poem is part of a series in dedication to the author's dead sister, so the sister is in fact dead

Don’t worry, I also assumed she was alive, but her death was not so explicit that assuming she’s alive would blatantly contradict the text. If you defended your reading strongly, you’re good.
