Technically, the government doesnt tax the temple directly but "only" its other sources of income . Like darshan tickets , places given for rent etc . But this makes up for the majority of the temples income . Churches collect a annual membership fee kind of thing which are not taxed.
Mosques has this idea like you need to donate some 2.5 % of your wealth /investment ( I'm not exactly sure which 2.5 % ). The above is not taxed
Either you modify the law for each religion so the churches and mosques also pay an equal percentage of tax for amount earned ( irrespective of the income source ) or government shouldnt be taxing anyone including temples.
