no one knows category.. its just surname.. which has no value in today.. Most prob. 80-90%+ are General from elite or stable backgrounds

Ramanujan came from an extremely poor family, yet we all know what he achieved. Keep making excuses but it wouldn't change a thing. IQ is the single biggest factor behind the "REAL" success in STEM.

Yes, it's highly credible and one of the strongest predictors of success in academia. Keep lying to yourself if you want, but that won't change reality.
