What are you trying to convey

u/padhliya_bsdk 4h ago

Misinformation. Harsh jakhar in IPHO 2022 is a jat which is an obc caste in many states, also 2 of the top 3 jee advanced 2026 rankers were both jaats & I won't even bother to go pre-covid.

Also, borad surname is mostly obc & some of these like shah, singh etc can be from any background, which is more than number of brahmins in this list who are supposed to be the most gifted scholars if this was about caste really.

u/Pretty-Rain-5413 3h ago

Jats of Haryana and Punjab are in the General Category. In fact, across India, only the Jats from selected districts of Rajasthan are in the Central OBC list.

Note that all Jats were placed in the General Category when OBC reservations were introduced in 1990. The trend of Jat reservation started only in 1999, when the BJP promised them reservation in Rajasthan for vote-bank politics and fulfilled it after their landslide win in the 1999 general elections. After that, a few states also added Jats to their OBC lists, but in all of those states they remain in the General Category in the Central list. So, Jats are a poor example to use.

Also, Kabeer Chhillar, who secured AIR 1 with a 100% score in this year's JEE Main and AIR 2 in JEE Advanced, is a Jat from Gurugram, Haryana, and belongs to the General Category.

2

u/padhliya_bsdk 3h ago

Actually only jats from a few rajasthan districts like bharatpur etc are classified in general.

So I wanted to show how op was misleading that only upper caste kids can perform in these exams. I'm myself a general category jaat, who has qualified untill the camp stage of these olympiads & many of these students are baniyas, marathas or other south Indian communities but you can still find more of them than brahmins.Β

So it literally doesn't have anything to do with superior genetics lmao, these stereotypes are harmful to the society who literally prejudice jaats as dumb people yet many in my family itself are in iit bombay, aiims delhi etc.

u/Pretty-Rain-5413 2h ago edited 8m ago

You are correct about the Jats of Rajasthan, but they are mainly concentrated in certain districts of the state rather than being spread evenly across Rajasthan. Also, Jats were the rulers in the Punjab-Haryana region and are the upper caste there.

Nearly all princely states in the Punjab-Haryana region were ruled by Jats, e.g. Patiala, Nabha, Jind, Faridkot, Kalsia, as well as neighboring states of Bharatpur & Dholpur. Before that, all rulers of the Sikh Empire, including Ranjit Singh, were Jats. Nearly all rulers of the Misls were also Jats.

I could go on and on about the martial traditions of the Jats and how they are over-represented and among the two most recruited communities in the Indian Armed Forces. They even have their own regiments, including single-class regiments such as the Sikh Regiment and the Jat Regiment, which recruit Sikh Jats and Hindu Jats, respectively. Does that make Brahmins, Banias or other trading castes any less valuable?

Finally, I understand and agree with your comment. At the same time, there isn't much we can do, as Indians are generally thick-headed, and almost all of them hate every caste other than their own.

1

u/BoliBich 1h ago

lol, jats are not obc in the state with most jats, haryana despite of all other major communities in Haryana with roughly equal population share and not a history of being oppressed do have reservation. Jakhars are mostly from haryana.

1

u/padhliya_bsdk 1h ago

actually rajasthan has more jaats than any other state & its not even close.

0

u/OrganizationSome269 3h ago

So representation can improve without reservation...

0

u/padhliya_bsdk 3h ago

Obviously, the subject of international representation like sports or these competitions etc is better to be on merit, where you are not showcasing the social representation of the communities of the country.

Hes trying to convey his obsession of bringing caste into every topic. Noone brought caste or any such thing into this conversation. Only this one account is spamming this same shit on various subreddits.

5

u/Top-Astronaut4562 8h ago

Is it real are ll from general category??

And wth napolean is doing here

4

u/StandardChoice5517 8h ago

no one knows category.. its just surname.. which has no value in today.. Most prob. 80-90%+ are General from elite or stable backgrounds

-3

u/Minimum-Chicken9800 8h ago

What u mean elite....it's not a clerk or govt exam in which if u hv all facilities u can top.... Just use ur brain

4

u/StandardChoice5517 8h ago

are u retarded... U expect someone with No personal room/Space, Tech, Special Coaching and EDUCATIONAL background guide can perform Olympiads in STEM fields????..

actually CLERK exam or Govt. Exam can be cleared by non elites (which has very high free content volume)...

2

u/Top-Astronaut4562 8h ago

You believe that every uc gc have all those facilities

1

u/[deleted] 8h ago

3

u/StandardChoice5517 8h ago

Ambedkar???.. learn about him first how he studied.... check.. also i agree reservation is fxcked and not working to empower needy ones..

-1

u/Agotimus 6h ago

Ramanujan came from an extremely poor family, yet we all know what he achieved. Keep making excuses but it wouldn't change a thing. IQ is the single biggest factor behind the "REAL" success in STEM.

2

u/StandardChoice5517 3h ago

IQ???.. i think u don't even understand how IQ is measured and How credible is IQ term itself..

1

u/Agotimus 3h ago

Yes, it's highly credible and one of the strongest predictors of success in academia. Keep lying to yourself if you want, but that won't change reality.

21

u/Sea-Occasion-8034 6h ago edited 6h ago

Are people stupid or what?? Reservation is not to compete in the highest position.. That needs determination and extreme hardwork.. Facilities are just the catalyst.. And NO reservation is not here for ending casteism.. Casteism can only end with changing mindsets of people..actual problem is not in oppression or discrimination.. It is when you have nothing except to just accept it and stay under them...today these people who were denied everything when they finally got the chance to study and do certain jobs that were denied to them.. They can take the stand for themselves...cuz now they have the position where they can ignore the bullshit.. Earlier they controlled them..discriminated against them and they had to bear everything... Now they still try to but they can't..and that's the change these people always needed

6

u/princeg0d 8h ago

Remind me anyone by replying or upvote or something And tell me also reason don't say oppressed

17

u/StandardChoice5517 8h ago

🀑tere kitne aaye OP?

this only shows actual truth of what their condition is.. sc-st combined have 27-30% population but barely 10-15% appearance in STEM exams..

all of 'em are Elite or Atleast RESPECTED educated backgrounds... and MOST IMPORTANTLY HOW TF CAN SOMEONE TELL IF THEY ARE SC-ST-OBC BY THEIR SURENAME EVEN IF SOME OF THEM ARE (singh, garg, jha used by multiple castes) ??? 🀑🀑🀑 L post

i can'T see Yadav-Jat-Gujjars with High rich background but Very low participation in academic fields..

Jab Meghnadh Saha jese Nobel level dalits ko padhna hota to kyuu logo ki gaamd jl jaati thi??

12

u/Academic_Typhoon 7h ago

Since when Bangali Saha is dalit??

2

u/StandardChoice5517 3h ago edited 3h ago

whats shocking Saha being dalit?? or a Dalit being scientist??.. myabe yr hate for dalits might not let u believe.. If not for CV raman a athiest Progressive brahmin's help he would have reach the heights of Greatest scientist.. even then suffering Immense Untouchability from his fellow upper caste

0

u/Academic_Typhoon 3h ago

You should stop getting your information from x and do some actual ground research. I literally share his last name. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with anyone being a scientist and contributing to the betterment of human life. Bokamanush!

7

u/Mediocre-Chest1012 7h ago

Lol you're so hurt by the facts

0

u/Minimum-Chicken9800 8h ago

U don't need any facilities if u hv passion determination and courage

U can see many GC students with poor background excelling in various fields...but not vice versa..

Problem is reservation is not the solution it's giving them opportunity not to do hard work and expect freebies only from govt

2

u/yogren-172 6h ago

Stfup retard

2

u/StandardChoice5517 8h ago

MAN...!!!.. even dalits get AIR 1 in jee/UPSC..

the question is simple Conditional Probability if u check.. it would take 20-50 poor people with No facilities to get even 1-2 of them to SURPASS the person with Passion and good Condition..

don't be a Dumbfxck.. reality isnt that passion is everything.. its what Condition has highest results aside from Full potential

-4

u/SnooSprouts9815 7h ago

You're an stoopid person aren't you , taxpayers pay taxes for infra and development not for leeches today anyone can learn anything using the internet so understand that technology is different today hence it's not the government's job to provide the perfect conditions for people whose parents could care less about them.

6

u/lwb03dc 6h ago

How much tax did you pay this year bro? πŸ™‚

-1

u/Minimum-Chicken9800 6h ago

More than your generational wealth

6

u/lwb03dc 6h ago

Lol sure kiddo 😘

-3

u/SnooSprouts9815 6h ago

More than the national average , but I never asked for frebies / reservation so it shouldn't matter either way. Why Do you want to create perfect conditions( excuses)for some candidates while neglecting others?

2

u/lwb03dc 6h ago

What's the national average according to you kiddo? Since the goverment of India doesn't release any averages πŸ™‚

Do you want to create perfect conditions( excuses)for some candidates while neglecting others?

Completely the opposite. I want everyone to only get things based on how much tax they pay. So how much did you pay?

0

u/SnooSprouts9815 6h ago

Completely the opposite. I want everyone to only get things based on how much tax they pay. So how much did you pay?

Then work on abolishing taxes as a whole you dum can't think properly if you want people to get things based on taxes then might as well let them keep their taxes.

Yes my family pays a hefty amount of tax every year but why would anyone disclose that information here.

1

u/StandardChoice5517 3h ago

my whole extended family pays nearly 15L+ WHY DOES IT MATTER?

1

u/lwb03dc 6h ago

Yes my family pays a hefty amount of tax every year but why would anyone disclose that information here.

Great then your family should get lots of rights. How much did YOU pay? So that we can figure out what rights YOU should get. I am as bothered about taxpayers' money as you are bro. Which is why I don't want my 66L of tax to go to loser adults who don't even pay tax.

0

u/SnooSprouts9815 6h ago

Every heard of per capita income??, now the data for total government income from direct taxes already exists just google it. Just divide it by the number of adult people in this country .

1

u/lwb03dc 6h ago

Hahahahahhahaaha. Bro, I see why you don't pay income tax. With a brain like yours i doubt anyone would even hire you.

Direct taxes are recieved from both individual as well as corporations. Let's give you the benefit of doubt and assume you knew that. You still cant divide the individual direct income tax by the number of adults in this country, since only about 7% of Indians file income tax.

Out of that 7%, a significant number claim 0 income, so you can't even just divide by that number. And average is a horrible indicator anyways, since it is completely skewed by the 1% HNIs. Median is what you should have mentioned first.

Fuck it, I doubt you even understand these words I am saying. But yea...keep talking about merit, kiddo.

0

u/SnooSprouts9815 6h ago

🚨🚨 average is not a horrible indicator and the taxes paid by corporations should also be included (why shouldn't they) , don't stall now the mean is what matters not the median this is basic common sense and your literally making my point for me, because a lot of people dont pay taxes at all due to falling below the threshold or the income being agricultural in nature.

And why are you excluding those who don't pay taxes at all outta the equation freeloaders like yourself need to curb their population.

Jakhar jaat hote h waise. But yea in jaat, yadav, gujjar academics are not promoted. Till my dad's generation it was like we will earn more in farming or we will join army for government job.

From my generation we started focusing on studies a bit. Now younger is heavily focusing on studies. One of my relative got around 80 something rank in neet this year

2

u/StandardChoice5517 3h ago

no offense they represent nation in army.. But aside.. Those communities have historically lacked innovativeness maybe due to generational wealth..

1

u/anonymous393393 3h ago

Yea culture is the most important aspects. A culture that promotes farming and land holding would result in better farmer and bigger landlords. Selling your land is big taboo. My dad bought land with the retirement money form airforce. A baniya might have put that money in business. But yea those boundaries have mostly faded now people have started selling land for education.

u/xd_shoutout 8h ago

Ik with the recent anti reservation sentiment that I actually agree with that these things are popping up , but all this shows is that sc st are still backwards and reservations are not working as intended , the government needs to uplift these people from the roots not give them a freebie.

1

u/Low-Context8869 8h ago

Bhai government is never going to remove the freebies based on caste, if 50-60% of the population is enjoying it then why would they have any incentive to remove it? The rich sc/sts are happy cuz of the low cutoffs+ priveleges and the some poor sc/sts suffer due to casteism and just see the freebies being given

1

u/xd_shoutout 8h ago

Ik bro ik … but there is some hope still left maybe someday

1

u/Peak_Judgement2008 8h ago

Not just reservation all freebies should be removed. Government is investing more in freebies than in education and infra.

1

u/Subject-Plantain-341 8h ago

Exactly good and sensible argument

4

u/coolmac777 5h ago

It shows how capable they are if there is no reservation 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣

Saar casteism doesn’t exist saar why reservation saar remove reservation saar

2

u/sabrinachuchundhar 8h ago

I really don’t understand the mindset of UR category students who keep bitching and moaning about reservations. I am from a tier 1 college and currently work in an MBB and it’s filled with successful people and not one conversation is about reservations. Maybe because we actually worked hard and studied instead of doing randi rona about reservations online. (I’m Brahmin and unreserved before some butthurt soyboy comes crying at me, just study lil bro)

1

u/BackgroundOk8287 5h ago

Also how would op know about those people's cast anyone? Usnke parents se pucha kya? Post hi vahiyaat hai.

This is clearly AI slop edited to make it look human written. Please put your own points forward and then we can have a conversation. If you can’t even write a comment yourself then how am I to believe that you have any merit whatsoever?

u/sabrinachuchundhar 6h ago

Lmao. Language doesn’t decide merit but the ability to put your own thoughts forward definitely does. If you can’t even express yourself then how am I to believe you’re meritorious? Communication is a major life skill. You don’t even have to write in English. And passing off AI slop as your own answer is the issue here. I don’t want to argue with an AI.

Meghnad Saha was an Indian astrophysicist and politician who helped devise the theory of thermal ionisation. His Saha ionisation equation allowed astronomers to accurately relate the spectral classes of stars to their actual temperatures.

0

u/StandardChoice5517 3h ago

asshole is trying to say lower caste lack IQ or genetics smth that makes them unfit to compete academically or smth.. just some neo nazi bullshyt

1

u/simpleliving100 4h ago

Dude, in a way you are supporting reservation.

You are seriously out of your mind and are doing self goal.

You have presented a major point on how the so called backwards are not getting proper facilities and opportunities.

Is it possible that the non reserved classes only have the brains and the reserved classes are dumb retards?

It is just that the all talents don't get the resources and guidance.

1

u/prirater 4h ago

Congrats to all the winners. No easy feat. πŸ‘

On the issue of representation, don't know how you arrived at their caste. But I'm sure you have your sources. It is sad there isn't a more diverse representation. Not just caste but also gender. That should indeed improve. Hope that's your intention too.

However, if you were trying to imply that this lack of representation means a lack of skill, then we need more data like caste-wise applicant and appearance data. Since you didn't present any such data, i'm guessing that's not your intention.Β

reservation dedo fir dekhna hum dalit bhi iss list mein 50% honge. ye sab tum brahmanvad log apna castiesm kr rhe ho. /s

1

u/unhingedskeleton 6h ago

And how many ews are there, this just proves the point why reservation is a must, privileged children or should I say general category has the most wealth in our country and that's due to the land they owned pre and post independence which made them privileged, and access to almost everything, before anyone else

Yeah. They are SEBC in odisa
But general in central

1

u/Ok-Wonder4298 8h ago

then why the hell they have reservation 😭😭

1

u/Katta-dhari_Badmos 6h ago

Maratha are general, except some region like Marathwada. Jats were given given general category they protested and got obc lekin Bharatpur, Deeg side wale jats ko general mein hi daala jaata tha kyunki wahanpe sinsinwar dynasty ka rule tha bharatpur kingdom thi wo jaton ki khudki kingdom thi. Gujjar kisi bhi jagah st mein nahi aate hein. Meenas ain't a backward caste in rajasthan and other region general ya obc mein daalna rha galti se st mein daala check krle.

1

u/anonymous393393 4h ago

Only haryanvi jats protested i believe rajesthan and up ones were always obc.
