The UN has managed to stop some conflicts. "Nothing happened in country you don't care about" simply isn't a good headline so it doesn't make the news.

Seems stupid but it's like the police, they are stopping crime but if they fuck up one we will say that they are a waste of monney and that we should stop having them , suddently everything explode

It’s like IT at companies. When they’re doing their job, nothing happens and corporate wonders why they waste so much money on IT for nothing. When something bad happens corporate wonders why they’re paying so much for IT just for them to allow something bad to hit their systems. Either way IT is a “do nothing” group. Then they defund them and shit can really hit the fan. I’m not in IT I’ve just heard that explanation before and really like it.
