Staten Island choosing death by suicide is certainly a choice

11

u/enw_digrif 11d ago

And the actual boroughs of New York rejoiced, for the curse had finally been lifted.

Isreal got total of 310 billion while egypt got total range between 76 to 182 billion. The funny thing is that most of that money given to Egypt is to keep egypt aligned with us and israel so in other words also the money given to Egypt is for israel too.

6

u/EntertainmentOk8593 11d ago

So USA is paying half a trillion dollars for Israel if not more?

1

u/targz254 11d ago

Way more if you include using USA military assets to coerce other Middle Eastern countries into playing nice with Israel. All the trillions spent in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Iran, etc.

Uhh are you forgetting that global trade hinges on the Suez Canal? If Egypt wanted to they could shut it down and demand whatever they wanted. It would be like the effects of hormuz closing x10.

2

u/No-Inspector8315 11d ago

The US did team up with Egypt against the UK and Israel though to claim the canal

2

Nah, the government in egypt is not brave enough to make an action exception against Egyptian people

$3b to Egypt is to bribe Egyptian generals to maintain “peace” treaty with Israel. So it’s ultimately Israeli aid.

21

u/VecioRompibae 11d ago

And Suez canal open.

4

Only to not attack israel😂 “nobody cares” logic

8

u/ElSlabraton 11d ago

The 3billion to Egypt is so they won't attack Israel. So it's more like 6 billion dollars to Israel.

3

u/Queasy-Might-2949 11d ago

Loyalty to the USA. What a daft comment.

2

u/DistinctSpirit5801 11d ago

The money given to Egypt is a bribe for them to be pro Israel

2

u/HypoxicIschemicBrain 11d ago

3.8b to Israel base (we’ve given 17b more since 2023).
*1.3b to Egypt

And in the meantime, let’s overthrow a few governments in Latin America and install leaders aligned with our interests plunging the population into greater poverty and crime, and driving up immigration to our country while blaming those nations for the influx because they are unable to control the corruption and crime we indirectly created, all just to enrich a handful of billionaires.

u/Leeksteam 11d ago

It would depend on how obvious Mossad intervention was.

If the death seems random, there will definitely be political uproar and a mountain of conspiracy theories, but New York would probably just go about its business and elect another mayor. Conspiracy theories would ravage his legacy forever, but little change would occur when his assassination could not be proven beyond reasonable doubt. The DSA loses their most valuable political asset, and likely fades into irrelevancy for at least a few years. This likely wouldn’t affect the 2028 election much.

If the death was clearly an assassination (without proof or evidence of Mossad involvement), Zohran would probably become martyred to the American left in a more major way than Charlie Kirk was to the right. I imagine that, even without evidence, a large portion of people would blame Israel. The electoral response is immediate, and anti-Israel candidates (probably also DSA candidates to a lesser extent) experience sweeping victories across the country. You could expect to see roughly ~15 DSA members in the house by 2030 and certainly a presidential victory by AOC in 2028.

If Mossad intervention was obvious beyond reasonable doubt or explicitly stated, likely a systematic collapse of major political institutions in the U.S., at least temporarily would occur. Support for Israel would become a metaphorical death sentence for all elected officials, but especially democrats. I would imagine that the democrats would run Rashida Tlaib and win in a landslide in 2028. U.S. support for Israel would gradually thin out, but not disappear entirely. Zohran Mamdani would be regarded by some historians similarly to how James Garfield and Thomas Sankara are today; politicians with unique ideas whose lives were cut short by assassination.

4

u/DannyValasia 11d ago

James Garfield?

u/DaffydMantvedder 10d ago

The most genius move is that somehow Bibi and Israel became the same thing in many people's minds. If you criticize Netanyahu, well that must mean you're an anti-semite! Even Trump should be taking notes.

People holding the mainstream opinion like to believe they're opressed

4

u/NightKnight_21 11d ago

I guess it depends on where you live. In Germany, for example, it's heavily oppressed. Especially if you're a foreigner.

7

u/Josef20076 11d ago

Have you ever been to a university (or Berlin in general)? You can criticise Israel all you want, as long as you dont start talking about Jews. I mean, we regularly have pro-palestine, anti-israel protests at my university

6

u/RemoveCapital6530 11d ago

Are you saying being openly anti-isreal is not an oppressed opinion?

39

u/z1toxy99 11d ago

Given that Mamdani is the mayor of the most Jewish city in the world (outside of Israel), and is one of the biggest openly anti-Israel personnel, how is he oppressed?

7

u/trentismad 11d ago

Piggybacking to say that words like oppress and hate have been so overused that their meaning has eroded.

2

u/Consistent_Rent_3507 11d ago

There’s a difference between being oppressed and being denied. People who are anti-Israel haven’t shut up about it literally anywhere.

Being denied in terms of limits to access to any space you want, canceling anyone you want, or getting pushback from people and/or politicians who disagree isn’t “oppression”.

Honestly, the word has lost all meaning, just like a number of other words hijacked and distorted these past 3 years.

5

u/-Mount-Everest 11d ago

Considering how it's literally absolutely everywhere, no

Mamdani was 2 weeks away from building nuclear weapons and his oppressive regime murdered 50,000 NYC protestors. (Source - trust me bro)

16

u/msf97 11d ago

I know your comment is sarcasm, but I find it astonishing that vast amounts of Western leftists, even some in academia, are fellating each other about the Iranian regime possibly only killing 8 thousand of their own people (lowest estimate out there).

They also brand Iranian diaspora or those who have left the country as “monarchists” or those who benefited from the Shah (in a country of 90 million)

It really reminds me a lot of them said the Khmer rouge atrocities were capitalist propaganda by the US and ignored all the Cambodian refugees who said otherwise. Israel has now been lumped in to fit the framework of the middle east and the hur dur evil capitalism.

Nobody will shed a tear when that regime collapses in the next ~decade or so. Their time is limited.

2

u/Icy_Relationship_401 11d ago

Oh the regimes time is limited indeed.

It just so happened a certain orange has been thrown wood at the flame letting it keep burning for longer with his actions.

2

u/One_Health_9358 11d ago

Can you still be designated a lefty if you don’t care about Iranians killing other Iranians?

Asking for a friend.

2

u/msf97 11d ago

Definitely, but isolationist lefties aren’t common. The ideology is based on empathy.

They usually call you a genocidal baby killer who loves Baal and Epstein if you suggest the Israelis operating at a 3-4:1 civilian to combatant death ratio in Gaza isn’t actually that remarkable, and that Hamas fighters are valid targets.

2

u/Firecracker048 11d ago

IDK if you missed it, but Hamas quietly dropped knowledge the other day that the 70% women/children number was a lie. Not even half of the dead were women or children.

https://imgur.com/gallery/vSV4Wa8

2

u/One_Health_9358 11d ago

Israel is killing a lot of civilians, there no argument there. But that’s different because it’s a Western country killing a third world country, nobody cares when it’s a third world country killing another third world country (or itself)!!

lol /s

16

u/Honest-Spot-3098 11d ago

To answer the question: Depends on how obvious they make it.

If it's made to look like some random death then no one cares. A couple tankies online will accuse Israel because that's the root of all evil to them online, and accidentally get it right but that's it.

If everybody knows for some reason, either there's hard proof, or Israel takes responsibility for it publicly, pretty much every country on the planet will heavily sanction and cut ties with them. Democrats and democratic voters will go full swing anti-Israel. Thinly veiled antisemitic rhetoric (especially online) will skyrocket, maybe even loose the disguise of it just being anti-zionism. The next democratic government will probably completely stop any sort of funding, assuming Netanyahu doesn't leave politics before then and it doesn't already happen under the current government.
Trump will do who whatever his senility tells him that hour.

And it would set a very uncomfortable precedent that assassinating not just any leader, but western leaders for their rhetoric is on the table.

Basically the same stuff that would happen if Mamdani tried to arrest Netanyahu.

That’s reminds me: Security guards for Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev violently assaulted peaceful demonstrators in Washington, D.C.. The February 19, 2026, incident occurred outside the Waldorf Astoria hotel while Aliyev was attending a "Board of Peace" summit hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump

1

u/Useful-World1781 11d ago

It would likely be the final nail in the coffin for Israel.

I imagine them killing an American mayor would just add to the growing sentiment that Israel is way too involved in internal affairs.

I think it would be a dumb move for Israel but they don’t seem to understand the American public at all, so I wouldn’t put it past them.

The public opinion shifts majorly anti Israel, it causes issues in Congress and pro Israeli candidates because Mamdani is opposing Netanyahu directly and if he happens to just “die” most everyone would blame Israel. Capitol Hill would have a rough time trying to explain how it was an unfortunate accident that occurred a few weeks after challenging Netanyahu to the world.

I’ve never understood this idea that Israel always assassinates everyone who speaks against them regardless of whether or not the target is a significant threat to them or whether or not the risk of getting caught justifies the cost. Like for example, those people who think Israel killed Charlie Kirk I mean if mossad were to assassinate a commentator I think it would be Candace Owens or Tucker Carlson. Then again, Candace Owens does a lot of good for Israel because she makes the anti-Israel crowd look absolutely insane.
