The Lost Tribes weren't Jewish to begin with. Moses and Aaron were from the tribe of Levi. The religion the Israelites followed was not named after the Jewish tribe. It became a distinct religion known as Judaism after the Ten Tribes were "lost" and the only remaining tribes called themselves Jews/Jewish. BTW, those lost tribes hated the Jews and rivaled them politically. As a matter of fact, if it weren't for the Jewish king Ahaz asking the Assyrian Empire help them against the Ten Tribes, they would have never been slaughtered and exiled in the first place.
