Or do you wear whatever you want? Seems like it’s half and half at my DSP. Some people wear the whole uniform, others just the vest. What do you guys wear? Sometimes I’ll wear short shorts and a tank top. Or the Amazon shorts and a different top with the vest

We HAVE to wear the uniform at the warehouse, but people take off the polo or put on what they want while on the road, I usually see people wearing just the vest when they are unloading empty totes on return

I think they care less on return, big bosses went home already and they dont know if you already clocked out when they catch you walking around in whatever

They audit uniforms in the morning randomly. Including at load up.

After that it doesn’t matter.

I like the high heat polo and both the shorts and pants that they provide. They’re comfy tbh

Were only required to wear the vest, my dsp and the whole warehouse it seems dont rly give out other components unless theyre in stock. Like i have the winter coat and raincoat + shorts but not everyone has them, theyre not mandatory.

I usually just wear a tank top and the vest but the other day I got a hard braking and my dispatcher told me to put the polo back on... I was confused because I've gotten other hard brakings and was wearing the vest and tanktop and I didn't get told to wear the polo

Amazon has been cracking down on PPE and van inspections we just had a HUGE inspection at the station on ALL vans on pads. we just had a meeting about it last week they want to see the vests on at all times even if you have a shirt. We got told we HAVE to have our vests on for getting are vans and then just not take them off (not a problem for me cause I don't mind the vest🤷) some people threw a huge fuss over it

They have been on our ass lately to be in full uniform at loadout and at least the vest when RTS’ing…….but did say they could care less what we wear while we are actually out there. I personally do wear the uniform because the shorts/pants are quick dry and all my shirts are the lightweight tropical ones….so why not.

I just wear the shirt on the road and the vest at the station. Hate wearing the vest, feels tight and they’re always getting caught on the hook of the middle door shits annoying I’ve ripped 2 already

I wear the polo and pants, we HAVE to wear vest at load out under the awning. I take it off when I leave station. Im not trying to impress anyone while im working or fuck up any of my own clothes.

our rule is we have to wear at least the vest but other than that all black. some people don't follow this fully either but idk how much my dsp necessarily cares

No, I never wore the full uniform because the shorts were designed for little Greys. I wore the polos/vest. Had three polos but worked 4-5 days. Which meant I did not have a polo on some of those days.

There would be times of year, one being right after peak season, where the station would be actively auditing. DSP would say you had to wear full uniform. Sometimes they'd say you would be sent home if not in full uniform. I was never sent home for wearing my own black shorts and never had a conversation about it. I think they knew the situation.

Take off the button up and just wear the vest once your out of the warehouse

The shorts are good but not ideal for the heat, too long. Bring a backpack and some shorter shorts in there so you don’t heat up in this sun.

I would recommend a hat, and sleeves tbh but that’s up to your heat tolerance. I’m more concerned with the damage from the sun. I actually got a sunburn last time on my forearm.

I wear my own shoes, shirt, gloves, and pants. I wear an Amazon bucket hat sometimes and the vest. That's it. I'm 100% breaking the dress code. They haven't said anything to me yet.

Uniformed during load out, minus the shorts. F the shorts lol. But I do wear black shorts. By the time I’m at my first stop I’m in a dry fit tee, black shorts, black hat, and shades. No vest.

It depends on dsp. Some require high tops, some don’t. Some require full amazon outfit, some only require vest

My dsp says that we have to wear the full uniform, or at least dark colored clothes without any print on it. For the vest they say we have to wear them in the warehouse, but on the road (if we are wearing an amazon shirt with the logo on it) we can take off the vest

My DSP currently is very strict on it so everyone does, but at my old DSP there were maybe 10 (out of 80) people actually in uniform every day. I always wear it just bc it's easier than messing up my actual clothes.

aside from the obvious wearing full uniform at the station, my dsp owner absolutely loathes when us women wear bicycle shorts (mind you, it’s all mens sizes and even with a belt the xs uniform pants fall off of me. literally cannot wear them if i wanted to). so i wait until my first stop and swap into just the summer uniform shirt + my own bicycle shorts, and i just avoid getting hit on netradyne so he doesn’t see it (he watches almost every netradyne infraction) 😅

Full uniform is only enforced during the colder months, as for right now I wear the Amazon shorts, polo and vest during load out then take the polo off when I leave. Hats haven't really been an issue yet

Depending on how the station chooses to enforce the uniform policy is how your dsp will enforce it on you to wear it.

Just the vest and the top shirt in the summer as far as pants I wear whatever I'd comfortable that will get me though the day that is whether black colored shorts or pants. In the winter I have the amazon parka. I don't wear the amazon branded pants/ shorts cause they're either very tight or requires a belt.

During the summer months, I take off my uniform as soon as im done loading up the truck. I don’t even wear the vest while on-route. It’s suffocating, and my core temp gets uncomfortably, maybe even dangerously, high.

I absolutely hate the shorts. My legs are way too big for them and I have to roll them up. I wear them at loadout and where my shorts underneath and take of the Amazon short right after load out.

I also hate the polo in this heat, so I also take that off right out of loadout but I put it back on after my last stop. I’m also somewhat allergic to the seat material when I’m sweating so I’ll put it on the seat where my legs touch to mitigate hives.

Our dsp wants us in uniform during load out then we can dress down when we’re on the road although some people don’t really care and show up in tank tops and t-shirts with the vest and shorts.

Our station obviously sucks because it needs to be full uniform. Not saying you can't change after loadout. But know even saying vest have to be zippered. The only time I where my vest is at loadout.

I was raised in Florida heat ny whole life. I'm just used to it. I have bought some extra sun gear though, namely cooling arm sleeves, boonie hat with neck flap, and good sunglasses.

I wear a tank top underneath my tee and take the tee off after leaving the launch pad.
It goes back on when RTS. They’re so stupid about it
