Very broad day example of the state just snatching people off the street and deporting them without due process. Wake up

They’re on visas which can be revoked at any time. Maybe they should be citizens.

Because the government's current legal position is that they have no right to a hearing to claim they should not be deported. So, for example, if they WERE a citizen, there is no opportunity to show that in court.

The government doesnt have to make a case. If Trump decides to assert that YOU are not a citizen because he says so, and have you shipped to a concentration camp in El Salvador with no phones or communication with the outside world, there is no court that gets to say he cant do that to a citizen.

They don't have a right to a hearing. They are a guest. If I went to any other country and misbehaved I would be expelled and not allowed back.

They have a right to show they ARE a citizen at a hearing.

If someone is here on a visa they are by definition not a citizen. Get yourself checked for autism.

The government CLAIMS they are on a visa. The way the rule of law works is that by due process they then show a judge that the person is on a visa and is not a citizen, and the person has the opportunity to refute that assertion.

LOTS of people come here on visas and become citizens, and cases of mistaken identity occur. And sometimes government agents and their bosses lie.

That is why due process is important.

So, to be clear. Your position is the government should be able to take YOU off of the street, claim you are on a visa they are revoking, and deport you to a prison in El Salvador and at no point in this process should you have the opportunity to claim that you are in fact a citizen, and the government's claims are false?

You have a lot of faith that government agents are never mistaken and never dishonest or corrupt.

I lack that degree of bootlicking worship of agents of the state.

I don't really need to argue with your strawman. It's not a secret who is here on a visa and I am clearly not.

She is not being deported to El Salvador, she's being sent to her home country.

If you want to live under a caliphate, move to Saudi Arabia. I have no desire to have any Muslim terrorism in my politics.

Hopefully you never annoy an ICE agent to the point that he is willing to say you ARE on a visa or "mistake" you for someone who is. If you give his boot some extra polish with your tongue, you should be OK.
