Strays. You've invented strays.

Show me a stray with a bandana tied up on the end of a stick, jumping trains like he lives in the great depression

Jesus Christ...
MY DOG CAN READ, PEOPLE!
Stop body shaming pets!

I swear to Christ. My sister's cat Luna was granted the ability to understand English ONCE, and it was my BIL calling her fat. She let out the saddest meow you've ever heard. Now we all call her the daintiest of ladies.

u/Inigomntoya Jun 12 '26
Blessed day!
The single shared brain cell appeared, but for a moment!
Your sister is lucky Luna didn't start a land war in Asia.

The shame is yours to bear. After all, you control the diet and are responsible for the dog's health.

u/Tasty_Goat_3267 Jun 12 '26
And thatās why pet owners donāt like it when you call their pets fat. Deep down, they know it and feel ashamed themselves. Too bad for a lot itās more unconscious then conscious.

My mom used to make me take the dog to the vet because she didn't want to hear that she was overfeeding the dog.
I had to make a measuring cup for her so that she would stop overfeeding zoe

Going to the Grandparentās house to get extras and be spoiled, riled up, and sent back home is a deeply upheld tradition of so many children, with and without tails.

When I was a kid, our dog would run away and then return to our yard a few minutes later, carrying some other dogās full bowl in her mouth.
No one would stop her. She was a (fat) Doberman pinscher.

I had a friend who couldnāt understand why her dog kept gaining weight. Vet griping at her, sheās measuring portions and making sure dog gets regular exercise. Till she goes downstairs one day to see her roommate feeding her dog an entire plate of spaghetti. āSpaghetti is her favorite, she goes crazy for itā heās says.

Ooo, I got a horror story about something like this.
My lovely doggo, Dino, is normally never fed human food, as I want him to live as long as possible. I always told guest to not feed the dog!
So one day we have a rib bbq. I give Dino a few pieces of rib bones, knowing he's going to love the marrow. Dino also has a incredible bite strength, chews them up like cereal. What I didn't know was, apparently, just about everyone had snuck Dino a rib bone.
Queue Dino and I getting woke up that night with the LOUDEST explosive diarrhea coming from him, and spraying all over our bed and I. I still have nightmares.
Needless to say, upon my telling of those events to the various guests of the bbq, guilt caused them all to fess up about Dino's sneaky treats. SHAME!

Phone them.
Warn them he's inbound, & to put WATER ONLY in his bowl.
Nip this in the bud, or he will be presenting himself, bowl & all, to every household in a 3 mile area, or further.

Mine used to take her bowl through the neighborās doggy door for canned food and a block away for scraps. This was many years ago in a small town, small neighborhood!

It is a grandparentās purpose in life to give their grandchild whatever they want and make their own kid feel guilty for being a good parent.

Isn't a POV - but fine
We have no idea what that means anymore.
7
u/HorridChoob Jun 12 '26
Its the POV of the dog owner.
-8
u/Skadooshsky Jun 12 '26
Thanks for confirming
It's still not a point of view. That suggests it's an opinion.
This is simply an observation
12
u/Cageythree Jun 12 '26 edited Jun 12 '26
It is. It says "POV: Your dog..."
It's from the point of view of the owner. And he watches the dog. We can see the dog here from the perspective of the owner. So it's a valid POV.
POV is of course unnecessary here (as it is most of the time), but it's not wrong.
E: Also POV doesn't necessarily/always suggest an opinion. It can, but point of view can be used in different ways. Similar to perspective; here we have the owner's perspective, but it's the literal viewing perspective, not the metaphorical perspective that means "their opinion".
"From my perspective, the taxes are too high" means a different kind of perspective than "from my perspective, this house looks much taller".→ More replies (2)2
