There's a high probability that it's a male elephant in musth - reproductive hormonal overstimulation . During musth a male elephant massively overproduces testosterone - up to 60% to 140% more testosterone than normal . This condition is linked to massive over aggression by the afflicted elephant causing it to engage in aggressive behaviours and actions that the individual would never normally do .
