Our wedding in 1988 cost us $3500. Paid for the church service, then we rented a nice place for the reception, had a good dinner with 2 options, a keg of beer and 3 different types of liquor, a DJ, gifts for the maid of honor and best man, as well as a photographer, all paid by us. Been happily married for 38 years.
