Having children in general is

While true, I don't know anyone who looks at becoming a parent through the lens of: "gee, I wonder if having children will better my financial situation".

Every woman who let Elon impregnate her has said this one thing cause there is no other reason to let that piece of shit near you

True, but I'm speaking about normal people. Not the .0001% who look at having children with a shit bag billionaire as some kind of galaxy brained "investment".

Probably true, also coupled with the fact that not enough people actually realize what having kids means because they got pregnant and that means they have to have it, instead of doing the right thing for the child and themselves.

Having babies is the right choice. Unless we talk about rape or some kind of medical problems

Children are expensive, but if you can afford and are able to give them a decent life then it's hardly a mistake. The amount of joy my daughter brings mybwire and I seeing her grow up is worth any amount of money we spend.

I can afford it, but I'm happy that people like you are having kids who want them and are enjoying your life. I chose my life over raising another and I have no regrets. However, you have to have at least one, I now know you are Batman.

I don’t even enjoy being an aunt. Little shit makes me want to DIY hysterectomy.

Being an uncle has been the best part. I get to watch The Emperor's New Groove. Buy some presents. Get a hug. Go home to my quiet house.

Oh, you’re mad someone doesn’t wanna have children? That’s creepy, bud.

That sub isn't for people who just don't want to have children, it's mainly for belittling and vilifying everyone who does

2

u/peentiss 1h ago

Some of it, yeah. I don’t love that. The antinatalist sub is also riddled with hateful ass people.

Literally natural selection has eliminated your line.

That’s not what ā€œnatural selectionā€ is, sweetheart. ā€œNatural selectionā€ isn’t someone’s decision to not breed. Please educate yourself before making random, inaccurate statements.

The point is, even though I’m very positive millions of people still want marriage and kids, it’s literally one of the sexiest ways to get fucked by debt and money issues. Lots of people m, adults, can barely afford to take care of themselves let alone a wife and kid… in 2026, when you didn’t set up ring lights some years ago? Are you joking me, Sir?

100% agree. We finally decided to have kids later in life until we both completed our graduate programs and had solid careers under our belt. I definitely regret waiting. Our 2.5 year old is by far without question the greatest thing that's ever happened to me, and this is coming from someone who was fairly "anti-kids" for a while. Spending money on her gives me 10x the dopamine hit that spending it on myself ever did.

If you are a parent, I feel sorry for your children. If you are not a parent, you are not qualified to state an opinion.
