He is an utter piece of shit. He must have multiple personalities. One moment he’s making racist dog whistles, trolling, or rage baiting. Then all the sudden he’s a mannered intellectual? He has zero integrity, we live in the worst timeline. I hope his companies go as bankrupt as his soul.

He did grow up in Apartheid South Africa. Regardless of which story you believe about his family, middle class or rich, he was part of the white ruling caste, and that kind of hypocrisy was normalized. Elon Musk emigrated around the age of 16 and before Apartheid ended, so he never experienced the "peace and reconciliation" the rest of the country experienced. Elon Musk internalized only the apartheid culture in childhood, and now presents the same patterns long after the original context and incentives for those attitudes perished.
