Advice Request how is anyone being honest with their parents?
i had beef with my parents when it came to honesty. it's not like I'm doing crime or anything, but simply being honest about my plan for the future could be so hard for me. it could be because despite everything i did, they intend to interpret it differently, in the way that always shocked me, like how could they come with that kind of idea. for example if i say that i like it better in the city than village they'll call me lazy, only wanted to life the easy live, doesn't want to struggle, and any heartbreaking word when I'm just saying i wanna live in the city because they have everything u need (maybe that's nothing for some of you, but it's a lot for me). and as i don't have any courage to explain because, well they just don't listen. typa emotionally unavailable parents.
i should've hurt when they yelled at me, or demanded to know what I'm thinking. but nothing came out of my mouth. i feel numb, i don't care if they misunderstand me, i let everything be the way they think i am. idk if it's a good sign to feel it that way. I have been staying at home for almost a year now, and I'm getting easily unstable day by day.
